[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start off I really wanted to try this because of all the good things I heard that this company does for the community. I love how the charcoal gives the meat a nice grilled flavor, the intensity of the burn takes some getting use to, I’m so used to chemically treated charcoal. Overall I would definitely recommend, especially if clean eating/cooking is a priority.

Where are the lumps? The whole idea of lump charcoal is that it doesn't burn up so fast when you use it to smoke. The pieces are so small you could do a couple of hot dogs. Made in Namibia with acacia wood. Acacia gets to be 10 to 30 ft. Can't get real big lumps with that. I guess that's why it was twenty dollars. Had to pay for the shipping from South Africa. Never thought I would have to read the small print on charcoal. I will be taking it back. Garbage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The package is really big, you will have charcoal for a while. It's great quality will leaving the food with a great flavor. It's a must try for sure. Gives you that nice heat from the start. Will keep using it for sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good charcoal Burns clean leaves very little ash remaining ,gets hot quickly and effectively, the quality and package size is very good for the price, you don't get that charcoal taste on your food it tastes delicious.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never used charcoal this great. It heats evenly all over which is a major plus for me. The ash cleanup is really easy and not super messy like other charcoals. It was packaged well in a very sturdy well made bag. I really enjoyed the flavor it left on our meats though. It was the best. Definitely will be buying it.

My husband couldn’t get over how nicely it burned and stayed lit, and how it didn’t overwhelm our food with a “burnt flavor”. Overall 10/10 for flavor, burn, and clean up!

I have been trying different types of lump to use for our Competition team. We seen this at Sams and decided to give it a try. The lump was not super chunky but we gave it a shot and ran it at a comp. We did really well in this cook off and noticed the lump lasted for a long time and would get just as hot at the chunkier lump. Been running it since, we love the large sized bags. We can generally run 1-2 comps per bag

We love this charcoal! We run a competition bbq team and cook across the northern Midwest. We probably bur n 40-50 bags of charcoal a year cooking at bbq competitions, cooking for the public, and cooking for our friends. This charcoal burns hotter so it allows us to use less of it compared to other brands and it produces a great flavor. Plus - it is the most sustainable product around. We love the new 27.5 pound bags with the plastic handle.

Not a ton of airborne ash, great heat distribution, wonderful flavor profile. The packaging, however, wasn’t the best and tore slightly (I didn’t take off any stars for that though, because it may have happened in the shipping process)

This is the best of the best, lights very easily and STAYS LIT! The bag comes with a handle making it easy to carry around. I love how easy this makes the whole process go, I always have preferred charcoal but this brand is hands down the best! Everything comes out cooked evenly unlike other types I have tried in the past, no weird burnt parts! This is my new go to charcoal!
