The ashes are about the same as you would see from charcoal briquettes but the flavor has a nice distinct grilled flavor. The products come packaged in a nice big bag filled With big quality lump charcoal.

What impressed me most was the performance—this charcoal burns hotter, cleaner, and more evenly than any I’ve used before, but was not a fan of how small the pieces were. If you’re serious about grilling and care about sustainability, this is worth every penny.

The heat distribution was in point. I made bbq chicken and it gave the meat such great flavor. I definitely will buy in future. Great price for great product

pieces are pretty small compared to other brands that I'm used to. Because of that, not that great of a deal. a lot of tiny fragments/dust at the end that you cannot use. At least it's easy to get and Sams still stocks it in-store and it's December.

Complete waste of money! Tiny small pieces burs up quick. I don't care how many fake reviews they put up here claiming it's the best charcoal ever,, LOL it sucks sorry!! If you're using the indirect method in a kettle, it burns too hot. So you have to use less but have to constantly add more cuz it burns way to fast. They are just selling some other products waste is my guess. Can't even think about smoking a turkey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works well for cooking out on our grill. Price wise it is a little more expensive than other brands but not a lot. The package is nice and sturdy. The coals burn well and leave a nice flavor in the meat.

Burns extremely efficient, allowing for stable temperatures during longer burn times. It's really helpful for those longer cooks. Impressive charcoal, to say the least! Definitely met my expectations.

This chipped lump charcoal serves it purpose. Light quickly and burn hot!. Got a bag on sale for $13 I think. Used it to vortex wings, cook burgers and Salmon on a cedar plank. Stuff did its job I use A Trader Joe's paper bag to line the inside of the chimney starter. Put chips in that. Light bag. Chips get going in 20min. Will Buy Again. PS. I grilled today at 2p. Rain ran me off at 3P. Grill is still at 300 at 530p using twin basket set up Weber Kettle

I have used tons of Charcoal and I really love this one for a few reasons. The first is it burns hot and lasts a good amount of time given its size. Another reason is the natural wood smoke smell and flavor that they give off. Overall, great product and love the company behind it.
