As a competition pitmaster, I've used a lot of charcoal, and nothing has been more consistent and burns as well as the good charcoal! The pieces are all all similar sized, there's never any rocks or trash found like in other brands and it burns and tastes amazing! Next time you need charcoal don't hesitate to grab a bag of the good charcoal!

The Good Charcoal Company makes these large lumps of charcoal that are easy to light and they make my grilling meats tastes great. The burn time is great and lasts long too.

Awesome! Long clean burn with minimal ash. I have a large pit, so most of the time I don't make it past 8 hours without a refuel. Initially I used about 2/3 of a bag, and I got a full cook on 4 boston butts and 3 briskets without adding charcoal. It provided a 14 hour burn before I shut the pit down. I'll definitely use this charcoal again and I highly recommend it. I also appreciate the handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coals burned good & The bag was full of lump charcoal. The heat distributed evenly but burned a little fast. The flavor wasn’t bad and the ash residue wasn’t as dusty as other charcoal for me.

pieces are pretty small compared to other brands that I'm used to. Because of that, not that great of a deal. a lot of tiny fragments/dust at the end that you cannot use. At least it's easy to get and Sams still stocks it in-store and it's December.

The Good Charcoal has great packaging and it was good but it burned hot and that made it go out sooner than my regular Charcoal. I like how it’s better for the environment. I don’t know if I was just hungry but those Polish sausage was so good and they were our usual brand so I think it was the charcoal. It’s similar in price as my normal charcoal. We’re using it again tonight with chicken and I made homemade hoagie buns to go with it and I can’t wait for dinner!

Packaging was pretty good however when I was carrying it I felt as though the bag was going to rip from holding it by the handle.

We barbecued today since it was our first spring like day, cooking up ribs, steak, corn, and veggies—all of which had a fantastic smoky flavor. The charcoal lit up quickly and kept burning for a long time. Loved how it enhanced the taste of our food, I definitely recommend giving this one a try. Packaging was also great and holds up well.

I only took away one star because it was a little bit of a learning curve, and our first meal didn’t come out that great. We did steaks the second time and they came out good! The charcoal clumps were all different sizes but burnt really well, and it made us feel better than it was chemical free! I would buy again!
