[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good Charcoal Company Lump Charcoal (27.5 lbs) lights up quickly for a natural lump, and you can expect 2 or 3 hours of heat, the smoky flavor intensity is mild and pleasant and the best part no chemical aftertaste or additives! The ash is minimal making it easy to clean. The bag feels strong and well sealed.

last year i brought lump wood and it was good big chunks of wood burn for hour's without adding more. this stuff hear is a piece of nothing. look like thin paper and black dust in which it don't burn good. Dont waste your time unless you want to waste money. Bring back last year brand.

Picked up a bag yesterday to rry them out. Good smoke flavor and nice steady burn. My main comment is about the size of the charcoal... it's all samller bits and not nearly enough 'lumps'. If you're looking for something with larger chunks of coal , this might not be it.

Not a ton of airborne ash, great heat distribution, wonderful flavor profile. The packaging, however, wasn’t the best and tore slightly (I didn’t take off any stars for that though, because it may have happened in the shipping process)

have bought many many bags of this charcoal and always happy with the quality. The last two bags were a complete disappointment. Two bags top to bottom were little fragments of charcoal. They are so small they either fall through the grate in the bottom or just clog it up and don't want to burn. Sent the maker emails but never got any response.
