Quality charcoal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good Charcoal lives up to its name — clean, hot, and long-burning. It lights up fast, with zero chemical smell, and gives food that perfect wood-fired flavor. Plus, it’s responsibly sourced, so you can grill with a clear conscience. This is next-level lump charcoal!

Long burn and great packaging

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was great. I’m used to regular charcoal, but I liked this brand. It was easy to start up and stayed hot the whole time we made our meat. I also loved the taste the charcoal gave the meat as well. The package was easy to open and I like the durability of the bag. I will definitely continue using this charcoal.

Love this lump charcoal

This charcoal is awesome to use for low and slow cooking and hot and fast cooking. I use it in my grill and smoker to create some tasty food! I standby this brand to say that it's worth every penny. Give it a try and y'all be glad you did. No chemical taste on your food and real hardwood lump.

Worthless

Where are the lumps? The whole idea of lump charcoal is that it doesn't burn up so fast when you use it to smoke. The pieces are so small you could do a couple of hot dogs. Made in Namibia with acacia wood. Acacia gets to be 10 to 30 ft. Can't get real big lumps with that. I guess that's why it was twenty dollars. Had to pay for the shipping from South Africa. Never thought I would have to read the small print on charcoal. I will be taking it back. Garbage.

Awesome Product

The lump charcoal comes in a nice big bag with convenient carrying handles. The bag was packed full of big lump pieces. The product was easy to light and burned for a long time with plenty of heat. We had consistent temperature throughout the entire cook. We will definitely buy again.

Love this Charcoal

I'm very impressed with the Good Charcoal. I use both the briquettes as well as the lump charcoal. It burns hot and last quite a while. I just smoked a brisket for 13 hours at 250 degrees and didn't have to fill up again. Also like that fact that when I light it up, I don't smell fillers and other junk that are in the other brands of charcoal. Being $19.98 for a 27.5 lb. bag of lump charcoal makes purchasing a no brainer. I'm hooked and will continue to use this charcoal for the forseeable future. Nice job Rob!

A great unique flavor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how easy it is to start the coals, I don't use charcoal lighter, just a little paper and a couple of wood pieces. It does burn a little hot and fast. The flavor is what I really like, different from regular charcoal, unique and not too powerful, a nice touch to add to your barbeque. I would recommend trying it.

Grilling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive been using this charcoal for a while now. it really is fantastic. the chunks are not super large which i like. they are pretty consistent in size and I feel it gets a hotter more even burn throughout the cook. The company is eco friendly and has a great sustainability model. and the best part is the charcoal is chemical free and 100% natural Acacia hardwood. It burns clean and the flavor is amazing.

Comp BBQ team - this is the only product we use

We love this charcoal! We run a competition bbq team and cook across the northern Midwest. We probably bur n 40-50 bags of charcoal a year cooking at bbq competitions, cooking for the public, and cooking for our friends. This charcoal burns hotter so it allows us to use less of it compared to other brands and it produces a great flavor. Plus - it is the most sustainable product around. We love the new 27.5 pound bags with the plastic handle.
