It's fine if you like cooking with Charcoal powder. To call what was in the bag I bought lump is a joke. Based on other reviews, I'm disappointed that Sams sells this product.

I once made a mistake and grabbed lump coal charcoal for my husband. At first he was a little irritated, but once he opened the bag and tried the lump coal, he was sold! That's all we buy now...

This is some of the best and it don't take too much to start a fire

Size of charcoal has gotten very small.

The bag had more dust and tiny pieces of charcoal than lumps.

I wish it was more consistent with the "Lump charcoal" instead of small pieces overall.

The charcoal starts good at first. But as you use it the chunks get smaller. In the end the poeces are the size of 50 cent pieces

Worked great. Smoked my brisket for 9 hours and only had to reload once. Burned nice and slow at 250. Had a great smoke flavor on the brisket.

Burned hot and long! Great flavor on the meat. The fact that it’s natural makes it even better. A great value for the size of the bag!

Lots of very small pieces and dust. Very few actual large chunks
