We source hardwood acacia from regions where it’s invasive, so we are removing wood that needs to be cleared, instead of cutting healthy US forests. That approach is also why our charcoal is FSC certified (the Non-Profit Forest Stewardship Council). It lets us use one super dense hardwood, rather than blending multiple softer woods, which would mean a weaker burn and a bigger environmental impact.<br /><br />Our team is based in New York, and we’re proud to run Doin’ Good programs that help provide thousands of hot meals to families right here in the US.<br /><br />From The Good Charcoal team
