Best Tasting charcoal.

I love this charcoal. I have went through two bags already! Ive not had any problems with temps getting out of control, and the acacia wood adds a great flavor. ive used it in a gravity feed smoker and a drum smoker. 5 out of 5 cant wait to use it on the competition trail this year and in the backyard.

Burns hotter longer snd zero chemicals.

I have been grilling for decades and used so many charcoals. I have never seen a charcoal as good as Good Charcoal. It is the cleanest burn. No nasty chemical smell. I am actually tasting what meat is supposed to taste like. This burns hotter and longer. What is so amazing is that I have tested this product versus other charcoals and I need so much less charcoal for each BBQ

Good Charcoal was Great!

I've used Good Charcoal for several months and have been very pleased with the charcoal performance. While the charcoal lumps are a little smaller than other brands, they are consistent in size. They also burn long and with consistent heat output. I have cooked briskets/pork shoulders at low temps and pizzas at high temps. Great performance overall. Also, the love the carry handle at the top of the bag which makes it easy to move the bag. The 27.5 lb bag is also nice while most others are 20 lbs.

Too small to be any good.

This is very poor charcoal. It consist of pieces that are all smaller than a briquette. Very much like you find in the bottom of a charcoal bag. I attempt to load a picture of a golf ball sitting in the middle of the charcoal but was unable to do so. Every piece is smaller than the golf ball.

good stuff. burns hot 🔥

good stuff. much prefer it over briquettes, due to addatives like anthracite coal being added.

Hi Bryan,

Thank you for taking the time to share this. If you found stones in the bag, we’re sorry you had to deal with that. Please email us at Hello@thegoodcharcoal.com so we can take care of you.

On where it’s made, you’re right that it’s not produced in the USA. That’s intentional. We source hardwood acacia from regions where it’s invasive, so we are removing wood that needs to be cleared, instead of cutting healthy US forests. That approach is also why our charcoal is FSC certified (the Non-Profit Forest Stewardship Council). It lets us use one super dense hardwood, rather than blending multiple softer woods, which would mean a weaker burn and a bigger environmental impact.

Our team is based in New York, and we’re proud to run Doin’ Good programs that help provide thousands of hot meals to families right here in the US.

From The Good Charcoal team
