Love this charcoal. Works well for whole hog bbq. I use a lot and this stuff works well.

The pieces were so small it packs down into your grill/smoker and chokes out airflow. Could never get a high temp for grilling. It may be ok for smoking only. I was so glad when I finished this bag and went with another brand.

There’s no way you can call this lump charcoal, more like chip charcoal. Tiny pieces that burn away before you can get your grill or smoker up to temp. Practically useless and waste of money.

Absolute trash. There were probably 10 to 15 pieces that were actually useful as fuel for a charcoal cook. The rest was garbage. Do not purchase. Go with an alternative brand of lump that is actually useful.

Good value for the money

I’ve been using nothing but this stuff exclusively for the past 2 months and I cant say enough good things about it. It’s starts easy, it holds a nice hot consistent temp, and I get twice the burn time I do with anything else. The lump goes great in the grill and the briquettes stack nicely on top of my Dutch oven. Couldn’t ask for a better, more reliable charcoal

I thought I would try this instead of the Kingsford's that I usually use. I had a hard time getting it to light. I used lighter fluid and had to repeat this several times. Also, it doesn't heat up much for grilling. Maybe better for a smoker and also use a chimney lighter instead of lighter fluid. I'm going back to good ole Kingsford charcoal briquettes. Can't beat that. The same thing my family used for decades.
