purchased in August to replace a Charbroil dual gas grill that had lasted about 6 years and I really wish this was eligible to return. main surface of grill takes forever to cook on as it never gets hot and that doesnt work for most food items. I think there is a design flaw with the opening in back of the lid as it lets all of the heat out. I have looked at many different grills and none but this one have an opening that runs the entire length of the lid that is 2 inches wide?? the infrared side burner is basically the only thing I cook on with this grill now

Just received the grill, and the sticker that folks complain about, left a permanent discoloration to the lid. WHY would you even out an advertisement on top of a grill that someone has already purchased?? I know what I am buying, and do not need a huge ad on top of my grill that leaves a permanent discolor on an expensive grill... the fixes of rubbing alcohol, microfiber towel, and cooking oil did not resolve the glue and discoloration issue.

Purchased and assembled today. The Bilt app helps tremendously! Between the 3D instructions from the app and the parts listed in the manual assembly steps, it went together fairly quickly and smoothly. It really helps to not tighten up a screw until you have the two parts mated and all the screws started - then torque the screws down. I got the old sticker on the lid and it took over an hour to remove the glue adhesive. Ugh! I found acetone, paper towels and lots of elbow grease worked best. A lot of parts are painted (powder coated maybe?) steel and I see the possibility for rust to form especially where the walls rest on the base. Water will wick into those seams and just sit there. I caulked those seams inside and out. We'll see if that helps prevent rust from forming. Haven't used it yet, will update after we have some experience grilling with it.

I totally disagree with clyde152 on the packaging. As a retired manufacturing manager for a Fortune 300 company I totally understand the warranty costs. I picked my grill from the store and was amazed at its weight. Yes the packaging is extensive but the grill was in pristine condition after unpacking. This grill after assembled is so much better than the Webber at 2/3 the cost! Buy this grill and that is after eight months of use four days a week.

The grill arrived a couple of days ahead of schedule. It was mounted on its own pallet and left in front of my garage. The next day, I unboxed the grill and was amazed at the packing. Everything in its own plastic bag, in its own box, and fit into the foam packing. By the time I unpacked everything, the scraps of cardboard, foam, plastic and trim, would fill a pickup truck. What a waste and horrible lack of environmental concern. I am considered a very mechanical person and it took almost 4 hours to put this thing together. A lot of the screws were very difficult to install due to tight spaces. There are at least 8 different kinds of screws and could easily been engineered to all be the same. The instruction were okay with only a couple of steps difficult to understand. It is a really nice grill and if there had not been such a waste in packing, I would have given it 5 stars. People complained about removing the stickers, but I think they made them of vinyl and came off easily now.

After the fourth use an 8" hole was melted out of the side while cooking steaks.

This is a nice, well built grill that will last many years. We are replacing a high end Weber and this one is as good or better in all aspects.

Grill is awesome, however sticky huge signs on lid are impossible to remove without scratching the lid. Tried everything imaginable without success.
