[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the LG dryer and had a door switch that was intermittent. Had it replaced and the second one has the same issue. Put in a service request and nothing yet for two weeks. However, I taped the switch closed and was able to use the dryer. After serveral days of use, the switch started working consistently????? Really wish we could adjust the temp setting using the sensor settings. Dryer is still working but no service follow up yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice and sleek dryer. Has lots of features and super easy push button start and setting indicators. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a door issue. When I received my first dryer of this model, the door would not close and it would not start, so I requested a replacement. It was replaced but had a similar issue. We figured out the issue was the screws on the door hinges were not tight enough, and the door sensor did not kick on. Once that was fixed though, have not had any problems since.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw some complaints about this dryer leaving clothes very damp after a drying cycle, and I had the same issue at first. I learned that adjusting the dryness setting resolved the problem during automatic settings.

I bought this drier 6 years ago and I have been very pleased with it overall performance. The drier has a steam dry feature which I have been unable to utilize because to water supply is located on the wrong side of utility room and I have not spent the money to route the water over to the other side. I may do it soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these a month ago to replace some 10yr old units. The washer worked perfect out of the packaging and had no issues. The dryer on the other hand for some reason wouldn’t register the door being closed so it wouldn’t work. Simple fix for a door switch but still sucks to have a new unit with an issue like that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had our LG DLGX4001W dryer for only two weeks, but so far I’m delighted with it! To this point, I’ve run the dryer on Normal, Delicates, Towels and Bedding, all with total and easy success. Note that I’m not a “power user;” i.e., I’ve not tried setting up connectivity with my smartphone, so I cannot comment on that. Our previous washer gave out after 20+ years, and since our old dryer was of the same age, we decided to buy a new dryer along with our new washer (LG WM4000HWA). The positive reviews for the LG DLGX4001W are quite compelling and I can see why. I’ve done our family’s laundry for 35+ years, and I really cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this LG dryer.

I was ready to like this model based on the glowing Consumer Reports reviews. What really stuck with me over the past 3 weeks is how it just disappears. It's quiet and just works. I love the notification on my phone. The old 50-year-old dryer this one replaces sounded like a ready mix concrete truck full of bowling balls. Now I forget it's running.

I do like all the features it offers, with the steam if I want. My old dryer left many wrinkles in my clothes and I had to iron, not something I like to do. Hoping it continues to preform well over the next few years or more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dryer with the matching washer to replace our 19 year old equipment. Everything about the dryer seems to be top notch. The sensor dries the clothes perfectly. Because the dryer has the steam option, it needs a third hose for those of you upgrading to the steel braided hose for the washer. Other than that, happy with the purchase!
