Rhythmic Noise

I really do love this washer and dryer.....however, there is one anomaly. The dryer works wonderfully, but makes a continuously rhythmic light clicking sound. The dryer drum is designed in such a way that the outside ridges of the drum "knock" lightly against part of the frame, or something like that. LG sent out an amazing LG expert. All is well, but the noise. We have to close a door we had not had to close with the old set.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I like the various settings, the large capacity and the low noise. The drying times seem to be adequate.

Great washer & Dryer

This is our second LG stackable washer and Dryer, we purchase our firsrt pare 13 years ago and they needed reparts. So we decided to purchase new ones, the size and the pedestals so I do't have to bend over at age 76.

It’s great knowing your first pair served you well for over a decade, and we’re happy you found the right time to upgrade. The new units paired with pedestals sound like a perfect fit for you, especially at age 76. Not having to bend over as much makes everyday laundry so much easier, and we’re glad the setup is helping you stay comfortable while still getting the performance you expect! I love it

The dryer work very well. I love how quiet it is, I can barely hear it when it’s running! The AI dry mode works really well and it doesn’t use a lot of electricity.

Too complicated to use easily

My biggest issue was getting used to the controls on this dryer. They are more complicated than necessary, and sometimes selecting one choice cancels out a previous choice selected. I believe this dryer is more concerned with its technology than the simple, ease of use I'm used to and comfortable with.

Lint Compartment Ruins Clothes

I HATE this dryer. No matter how much I clean out the lint compartment, it doesn’t stick in. Therefore, I just had multiple tank tops and bras completely ruined and stretched out because they get caught on the lint compartment won’t shut all the way. This has been going on for over a year and no matter how much I clean it, it never goes in.

Hello, Evalyn. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG DLGX4001W Dryer. We recognize your experience with garment damage occurring when the filter frame does not seat flush into the housing slot. To address this issue, ensure the lint trap cavity is completely cleared of lingering debris using a vacuum attachment, as packed lint inside the lower housing can prevent proper insertion, and verify the filter casing itself is not bent or warped. For visual guidance on maintaining and clearing the filter housing, please visit https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xtZYF8Bz2Hw. Not so great

⭐☆☆☆☆ This dryer has had drying performance issues since installation. Despite proper setup and troubleshooting, clothes remained damp after full cycles and airflow-related warnings appeared repeatedly. The unit seems unusually sensitive to vent configuration, making installation and operation more difficult than expected. Overall, a frustrating experience for a new appliance.

Hello. We appreciate your time sharing your review regarding your LG Gas Dryer, model DLGX4001B. We always strive to provide powerful drying performance and excellent efficiency across all of our Dryer models, and we want your laundry routine to be smooth and effective. To help resolve airflow indicators and ensure your garments dry completely during a single cycle, we recommend checking that your external home exhaust vent ducting is thoroughly cleaned of lint buildup, verifying that the rigid or semi-rigid ducting is not pinched or kinked behind the machine, and running a regular sensor dry cycle with similar fabric weights together. Horrible! Lint backs up onto dryer door

Dryer makes knocking noise and lint backs up onto dryer door and gasket. When you open the door debris falls out everywhere and is stuck on the gasket, that I have to brush off myself and clean that mess up as well. Techs tell me it’s because of my exhaust duct is too long. Specifications state I can have up to 36ft, I have 20ft with 3 elbows. All within the range. LG tells me it’s not a common problem and they don’t know what to do. Refuses to replace my dryer. Techs just check pressure and blame vent. Dryer exhaust has been completely cleaned out so that’s not the issue. This product is built poorly and LG will not accept responsibility. I wouldn’t recommend this dryer to anyone!! Option to upload pictures is here but won’t let me upload. Go figure!

Hello. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG DLEX4000W Dryer. We want you to feel supported with both performance and next‑step options, and your feedback helps us see what’s been happening on your end. When a knocking sound occurs or lint gathers near the door, confirming that the dryer is level, ensuring the lint filter is fully seated, and checking that the exhaust duct has smooth airflow can help improve performance while a technician evaluates the drum rollers, seals, and vent path. Controls are very poorly designed

I hate this dryer. The default cycle is "Normal" which gives you the highest temp setting, "hot", for 41 minutes. You CANNOT CHANGE THE DEFAULT CYCLE. Since I rarely dry on hot, I have to change the clunky cycle changer dial to another setting that is also full of defaults of time and temperature. If you happen to want to change the default of the time or temp of another cycle, you have to press the button on the bottom of the panel for "Timed". Only a few icons light up on the panel - most of them don't, so they are hard to see in my laundry room. There is no cycle called "Timed Cycle" which would have been useful. I've had this dryer for a year, so I can't get rid of it for several more years and that makes me mad and sad. Whoever designed this crappy dryer must have never done laundry.

LG Dryer Filter Tore After Just a Couple of Uses

I’m disappointed with the quality of the LG dryer filter. After only a few uses, the filter has already torn. For a product from such a reputable brand, I expected better durability. It’s frustrating to deal with this issue so soon, and I hope LG will take this into account to improve the quality of their components in the future
