[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For something that costs this much that drys clothes I had high expectations of what this should be able to do...and I am pleasantly surprised. The capacity is excellent. The quality appears to be top notch. The features and options available on the panel are also exceptional. My only complaint is the signal that tells you its finished is a very quiet little chime tune...unless you stand in front of it you won't hear it. Speaking of not hearing it that is another outstanding quality...its really quiet.

It was time to update my LG washer and dryer after over 15 years of faithful service. They both worked fine but I was anxious to replace them before I had a problem. With regard to the model DLGX4001B dryer, it’s amazing what technology advances have taken place in 15 years! The washer/dryer is WiFi enabled so that I can check the cycle progress on my phone and receive Alexa alerts once the cycle is finished. The dryer is paired to the washer so for example when the wash cycle for Towels is complete, the dryer automatically pre-selects the dry cycle for Towels. There are more cycles and each is much more unique with this model compared to my 15 year old machine. This model also features steam functions. It runs whisper quiet, smooth, and is solid as a rock. The unit looks great in black steel but a minor complaint is that the LED panel is a bit hard to see so I need reading glasses and a flashlight if I want to choose any of the many available dry options.

This is the mate to our LG washer. It is slightly larger due to a larger vent connection. We have run multiple loads and it runs VERY quiet. It seems to also have good sensor recognition of when the items are dry. I reserve the option of updating this 6 months and 1-2 years out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was in need of a new Washer & Dryer as my old set was close to 20 years old. After doing some research I decided on going to this front loading LG electric dryer that was WiFi enabled. I had removed the old dryer and thoroughly cleaned the dryer vent. I did have trouble with frequently getting the error code d80 when drying large loads of items like towels. Made sure the dryer vent was not collapsed or kinked and that the dryer vent was not clogged. Checked the dryer vent cap on my roof and as it turned out it was too small and was installed improperly when my house was built. I found and purchased a new, larger and much better vent cap for the roof. Had a roofer change it out problem and was completely resolved. No more error codes and clothes dried faster.

Stairs...What stairs!!!!! No more lugging laundry tubs up and down stairs! This LG FULL SIZE WASHER ON BOTTOM...DRYER ON TOP HAS BEEN A GODSEND!!! THANKS LG!!!

We got this dryer to match the washer. Nothing but great things from everything we saw and read. We got it home, have used it for a few month, and have all new connections and hookups. The only cycle the works correctly is the timed cycle. Even after following all the directions we could find and reaching out to LG support, the sensor drying leaves clothes damp, regardless of the cycle. New ducting and nothing blocking. Clean sensor. I can't recommend this dryer. LG says that the dryer,

It holds BIG loads, including bedding that has its own setting! The amount of features this dryer has is amazing and all works perfectly! We love the the steam sanitary and antibacterial features! It’s dried loads well and quickly which is awesome with a family of nine!

Bought this a month ago after all the other machines I was interested in were unavailable for immediate delivery. That said, it's a nice large capacity dryer that works pretty well. The energy efficient cycle leaves clothes a little too damp for my liking otherwise it's not a bad choice... the washing machine on the other hand... I digress this is for the dryer which I would recommend. The Washing machine on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired!

We just got a new dryer and replaced an 8 year old LG dryer that was very similar to this one. This dryer is loud with a vibrating/humming noise that stops when I lean on top of it. It drives me crazy. I would have liked the light to remain on when you open the door, even if the actual unit wasn't on. If it's dark and I don't turn the light on in the laundry room, but need to look for something in the dryer or toss a load in quickly, the old LG dryer we had would have the light on just with opening the door. I guess this might be an energy-saving thing, but it is annoying. I would have liked having the option for the steam care settings to have the basket that pulled out like the other model we had, so I was surprised when I saw this one NOT have that. You have to hook it up to the water line and we were not going to go through the hassle of splitting the water line from the washer to the dryer. Had I realized that, I wouldn't have bought this model. The picture on the site makes it look like our old model, which has a pull out drawer on the left side where you can easily add water to the tray and do it that way, but the one we got doesn't have that and looks different on the left side.
