[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer was purchased with the compatible washer. This dryer is extremely easy to use, however I have not used all the functions yet. It and the washer were gifts from my brother and his significant other. Love all of them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had our new dryer for about a month and we love it. It’s easy to use and the variety of cycles gives us plenty of options. We love the large capacity - we used to have to take large blankets and comforters to the laundromat because our previous dryer couldn’t handle them but the new LG dryer can easily handle larger loads. It’s also very quiet. And it looks sharp too.

It holds BIG loads, including bedding that has its own setting! The amount of features this dryer has is amazing and all works perfectly! We love the the steam sanitary and antibacterial features! It’s dried loads well and quickly which is awesome with a family of nine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dryer for all the frills it has but also expecting it to do its basic function of drying. The dryer stops half way through any cycle giving a dirty lint filter error. I have cleaned the whole exhaust line and no issues with dust or lint there. I have to trick the programs and dry for a long time to get it to dry properly each time. So much for technology. I will be returning this soon.

What should a dryer do? Dry clothes. This one does a very good job. What should an excellent dryer do? Allow easy control. Not so much. The built-in default settings are good, but I can't easily adjust them. (e.g. it insists on MORE DRY, and won't allow me to override to LESS DRY). The light inside the dryer doesn't work like a regular dryer. I expect the light to be on when the door is open and off when closed, with perhaps an override to temporarily turn on the light when the door is closed. Nope. Open the door? Nothing. You have to POWER ON the dryer. Does the light go off when you close the door and POWER OFF? Nope. The light stays on (for a while). I think the designers got too over-zealous with what they could do with the electronic control of everything.

First brand new dryer I received didn’t work. Had it replaced with a brand new machine which also didn’t work. Called LG again for help and was told that this is a “known issue.” Their “fix” didn’t work so we returned our washer AND dryer and purchased a different brand. It was a huge hassle and I won’t buy LG again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the LG washer to replace and older washer in my new house. I have had LG in the past and loved them. The washer does great at cleaning the clothes. The energy savings alone is enough to buy the washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought an LG Washer / Dryer pair. The washer is reviewed separately. I had no idea that steam was a feature that was available. Anyway, I like technology so I bought a dryer with steam capability and I love it. You can freshen up sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, or anything. Also, like the washer, there are many individual dry cycles that can be down loaded using the Thin Q app. Of course there are all the standard cycles available on the front panel; this is an additional group of dry cycles that can be downloaded (one at a time) and used such as: Rainy Day Wet Cloths, Gym Cloths, Socks, Super Dry, Ultra Delicate, and more. All you have to do is ask yourself "What am I drying?".... There is a cycle for that. I have also noticed that the dryer is much more gentle than previous (dumb) dryers.

So far so good! The dryer seems to work very well. We purchased the optional pedestals to make the machine more accessible. No More bending down and getting on one knee to reach into the dryer. We have had the machine a little over a month, and so far we are very happy with the purchase. I have surprisingly liked the LG Thinq app . It is handy when checking the progress of the load and getting alerts when it is complete and I'm not close enough to the laundry room to hear the dryer's chime.
