Customer reviews for LG 7.4 cu. ft. Electric Dryer with TurboSteam forGood product undermined by LG's installation team
Good product undermined by LG's installation team. The product itself probably deserves 5 stars. The installation team was appalling. The re-installation team was not much better. The product was not leveled, and the team walked away with the leveling wrench supplied with the product. They tramped dirt in and didn't clean up. Their hands dirtied the laundry walls and the product. They didn't know how to install to one side or other of the available space. The second team worked this out. The incompetence of both delivery teams was not helped by their lack of English language skills. That said, two weeks of operation have been incident-free and effective. I recommend the product, but be warned. You'll probably have to supervise them closely when they install it!

Dyer is a fire Hazard
This dryer is defective in design and should be recalled. The lint filter does not catch all the lint as one would expect. Rather, the lint bypasses the filter and gets caught at the bottom of the machine. Eventually this will cause a fire hazard. Also, all the lint accumulates at the bottom of the machine and remains trapped and further creates a larger and larger trap as new lint accumulates. So much so, that it collects to the extent that it prevents the lint filter from sitting flush with the interior orientation of the barrel where it then snags and damages clothes. Once a piece of clothing gets caught, it remains snagged until the end of the cycle. Whatever clothing gets trapped like this; it permanently ruins the item as it creates permanent wrinkles besides sometimes tearing the clothes.

Great washer and dryer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the set about 5 weeks ago. My wife loves it. With the pedestals makes it the right height. Great for us seniors. Don’t hesitate this will be a washer and dryer that is well built. Quite and plays a cute tune when done.
Hi Audie, thanks for taking a moment to share your experience with us. We understand you’re enjoying your 7.4 cu. ft. Large Capacity Front Load Gas Dryer model DLGX4001W, and it’s great to hear the set has been such a hit in your home. We understand how much of a difference the pedestals can make—bringing everything to a comfortable height is a real benefit, especially for seniors. It’s wonderful to know the dryer is quiet, well‑built, and even adds a little charm with its end‑of‑cycle melody. Hearing that your wife loves it makes the feedback even better. Never worked
I purchased the dryer in early July. It hasn't worked yet after almost eight weeks. Warranty claim sent out twice. Last time tech came out was almost three weeks ago. Now dealing with Presidential Lison Team which yielded several texts and no action in over a week. Eight weeks without a dryer or resolution!

great buy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we purchased this dryer along with a new LG washer about 1 month ago. We are very pleased with both. We were replacing a pair of LG washer and dryer which we have had for 13 years. This dryer does a great job of drying the clothes and bulky items like comforters. The old dryer was still leaving items damp and was starting to make noise like the rollers need to be replaced. The new dryer is very quiet
Early evaluation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, now that we know how to operate the appliances, everything look good for the future. We have not started using the wifi yet, but hope to use it soon. Given everything we have done, I will rate the appliances #4, with #5 to be considered in the not to distance future.
Good, but expected more.
For the price, I was shocked this dryer didn't come with the inside Dryer Rack. Also, not sure if it was suppose to or not, but ours didn't come with the water hoses that you are suppose to use to hook it up! I was also shocked on this! Another trip the store and was unexpected. Overall, I like the dryer, but it seems LG is finding ways to cut corners! I just hope this doesn't mean quality is going to be down as well!

Very Happy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit along with compatible LG front load washer. Great combination and being used as a stackable unit. The stackable kit is wells designed and we are extremely happy. We highly recommend this product.
Overall pleased with the dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer to pair with the new washer I purchased to replace a 13 year old LG washer that died. Overall I am pleased with the dryer. The sensor drying cycles can sometimes leave the clothes a bit damp or a bit over dried. The anti-static option, which injects steam into the drum a few minutes before the end of the cycle, is pretty useless. While it does inject steam, it also splatters water on the clothes so you end up with big wet spots on the otherwise dry clothes. My 13 year old dryer it replaced also this issue. I had hoped over 13 years that LG would have addressed this design flaw, but apparently not. It would also be nice if the ThinQ app would allow me to create a custom cycle to download instead of just allowing a download from a predefined list of cycles.
