[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced my 13-year-old red LG steam washer and dryer that I absolutely loved. I was very disappointed that the red color was discontinued, the black steel is nice but not as cheery. I am so happy that it has a direct waterline for steam and it still has an interior light although the washing machine doesn't. The Thin Q app is amazing and am already spoiled with the convenience of checking the status and receiving notifications on my phone. I was so happy with my last washer/dryer set and hope that these are just as reliable.

Quiet; dries items well--which is VERY cycle dependent. NOT ALL cycles can be individualized...for example, if one wishes to dry permanent press items on LOW heat INSTEAD of the programmed MEDIUM heat, one CANNOT do so on the permanent press cycle; one must use timed dry to select low heat OR use delicate. If once chooses delicate then the time is not quite right so one really must go to Timed Dry. I stated with the WASHER review that there was NO "Complete owner's manual" included with the data provided in the sealed plastic envelope inside the dryer drum. The Owner's Manual Dryer was there BUT the owner is directed to the website to obtain the 'complete' manual. I believe this is a poor decision on LG's part. LG is presuming that everyone who buys this product has CONSISTENT and RELIABLE internet service ALL the time; and that the purchaser wishes to download the LG app or go to the LG website for data. Troubleshooting data clear in the skimpy manual that is provided.

We love that it has WiFi and notifies us on our phone when it has completed drying so you can get the clothes out right away. This is a perfect size for large towels and other large loads as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sometimes, at least twice, in maybe 50 loads, the dryer just totally shuts off and must be unplugged and plugged back in to operate. Does not blow breaker, just looks like it has finished, but clothes will still be wet. Can't say I've ever seen that with another dryer. Otherwise, its a great dryer. But can't give it a great rating due to that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second LG Dryer with the Steam function. This dryer is gentle on our clothes and so quick to dry even a heavy load. The Steam function allows terrific cleaning and freshening capability for an array of fabrics.

I bought this as a set. I love the color, the function of steam fresh is wonderful. I can't always get to the clothes when there done and the steam function really cuts down on wrinkles. I would recommend this to anyone . Thanks for the rebate as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been awhile since I had a washer and dryer so when we sold our home and moved into a new place that was one of the first appliances we got. I really love my LG washer and Dryer. I really like all the different options on it. And the self diagnosis feature is really neat and super easy to use .. I also like the chime / tune noise that they make when the load of laundry is finished. Would recommend these products for sure! They work great and have plenty of options for different wash cycles.

I did lots of research and found this to be the best model for me. It has worked wonderfully and dries the clothes much faster than my 23 year old dryer. It has features that make it easier to select the proper cycle for the load. Storage drawers are bigger and hold lots of items for easy access.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had our LG DLGX4001W dryer for only two weeks, but so far I’m delighted with it! To this point, I’ve run the dryer on Normal, Delicates, Towels and Bedding, all with total and easy success. Note that I’m not a “power user;” i.e., I’ve not tried setting up connectivity with my smartphone, so I cannot comment on that. Our previous washer gave out after 20+ years, and since our old dryer was of the same age, we decided to buy a new dryer along with our new washer (LG WM4000HWA). The positive reviews for the LG DLGX4001W are quite compelling and I can see why. I’ve done our family’s laundry for 35+ years, and I really cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this LG dryer.

I bought this dryer to match the LG washing machine which I also bought to replace my old one, based mainly on Consumer Reports recommendations. They both suck compared to my previous machines. I waited until I had used the machines for a couple of months, and spent some quality time with LG help line, before reviewing. - First, the standard height of washers and dryers apparently has been increased, I guess in order to accommodate all the additional useless features or the wifi that I don't use (because it would be one more thing to have to fix, I have some experience with so-called "smart" appliances). This increase in height necessitated remodeling my laundry room, since my workspace needed to be raised to accommodate this new model. - The drum is much too big now. Once you sort clothes by color, type, temperature, etc, you want to be able to do several smaller loads, not one humongous load. - The biggest con is that the dryer does not have a sensor to signal when clothes are dry. If it decides that the clothes need 55 minutes, then my god it will bake your clothes for 55 minutes, whether they are already dry or not. My previous dryer would beep as soon as ANY of the clothes were dry, and I could take them out and continue the cycle with the rest. This dryer does not. - Also a big con is that the dryer is very rough on clothes. I have had clothes damaged by the dryer. - And on top of that, this dryer leaves them wrinkled! Maybe because of the baking tendency noted above. I have tried various settings. And no I do not leave the clothes in the washer for long after washing, I transfer them soon after. And I use dryer balls. And remove clothes promptly from dryer. (My old dryer did also have an automatic feature at end of cycle to cool down and continue tossing if clothes were dry and you did not remove immediately, this one does not). - The manual is useless, it does not even give the cycle options/instructions for use, only troubleshooting. You are obliged to look online. I have cleaners, and airbnbs staying here and using the machines, so they need to have more intuitive and logical dashboard. - Finally, instead of just a quick beep to signal the end of the cycle, the dryer plays an irritating song. So no I cannot recommend this dryer (or the matching washer). It is difficult to imagine that LG ever tested this dryer with consumers, there are so many things wrong with it.
