Bought this a month ago after all the other machines I was interested in were unavailable for immediate delivery. That said, it's a nice large capacity dryer that works pretty well. The energy efficient cycle leaves clothes a little too damp for my liking otherwise it's not a bad choice... the washing machine on the other hand... I digress this is for the dryer which I would recommend. The Washing machine on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired!

I bought this a before labor day (9/3) directly from LG. If you dont have time to wait, I dont recommend that route. The delivery date was stated 9/20. However, that is the delivery date to a third party that will deliver it to you house. Very misleading! I had to wait an additional 2 weeks (10/11) to receive my new appliances. I have now had this dryer for a bit. I am very pleased. The dryer itself is great. It has an abundance of features. Like Wi-fi it is neat that i can get a notification that my cloths are dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer was installed two weeks ago. Installation was straightforward. So far, I’ve only done two loads and everything worked as expected. I found the manual often difficult to interpret, and especially so for setting up the ThinQ wifi. For example, it if not clear whether the word device is referring to the dryer or the smartphone. Also, a lot of trial and error is involved in learning to use the controls. I hope this will improve over time. Note. I am a native english speaker with a PhD in physics. So far, I don’t have enough experience wit this machine to recommend it to someone else. Ask me again after six months or a year.

I bought this a month ago and am still trying to find the best settings that work. I do not like to dry my clothing on high, but no other setting gets close to getting the clothes dry. Usually, the waist bands and hemlines - in-other-words, any thicker or layered fabric - is still damp. When I reset the dryer to finish drying, it will not stay on more than a couple of minutes because the sensing system tells it the clothing is dry when, in fact, it is not. I have only been able to get the results I want by using the manual settings. All that is really needed to make this a nice appliance would be a heat setting option and a timing control. All the fancy digital nonsense is pretty much useless. I have not yet tried the steam option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a lemon, or a piece of junk. This dryer has been nothing but a source of aggravation ever since I purchased it. We keep on getting this flashing “gas” error. The dryer stops 25 to 30 minutes into its cycle with gas error flashing. It does not generate any heat, everything is still wet. We had a plumber check the gas line, everything is fine—our gas stove and gas water heater have no issues. An LG tech replaced the dryer’s gas valve—same issue. My mom suffers from dementia, laundry is a necessity in our house. To get this repaired, I have to pay a plumber to disconnect the gas line from the dryer, pay someone to bring it down from its platform, once the maintenance is done, pay for the reverse process. At this point, as soon as I have the money, I’ll get a new dryer , and hope to have better luck. My last dryer lasted over 15 years before the motor gave out. Buyer beware!!

Overall, this dryer was worth the price, with the various settings saving me a lot of time restarting the dryer on thicker or heavier loads. The sensing technology works surprisingly well to increase dry time if needed. This is particularly helpful with heavier items like blankets or thick hoodies and sweatshirts. I've never had a dryer that would actually dry those items in a single run and this dryer does with no issues. I'm very happy with the purchase and happy with all of the LG appliances we have purchased for our new house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These new dryers are amazing. I didn't know that I had a 90% blockage in my lint vent until I received my new dryer. Thanks to that setting, I was able to get my vents cleaned out and saved myself from a potential fire. And it does a great job drying.

We only dry clothes, bedding and towels in our dryer. Nothing hard or bulky like shoes, etc. During a normal dry cycle with medium load, the inner wall of the "real tempered glass" door broke off and mixed a bunch of tiny jagged sharp shards into our clothes. I stack my dryer on top of the washer with the LG stacking kit, and if I wasn't paying attention, I could have opened the door and dropped a heavy 14" diameter disc of razor sharp glass 4 ft right on top of my feet and shattered all over my home floor. It'd been 2 years since we purchased and LG originally said it's out of warranty, but this is not an acceptable level of safety to have for a product well within its expected operating lifespan. Searching online, there are many other reports of this happening

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would give this 4.5 stars - love the features - TurboSteam has been wonderful to freshen up clothes - like the wifi features way more than expected (being told via your phone when clothes are done is really nice when living in a multi-level home) - only issue I have had is clothes needing a little longer in the dryer when mixing my usual clothes and bedsheets together

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dryer for about a month and I am very impressed with it so far. The sensor dry works great and does not over dry my clothes. The thing I like the best is the alert feature which sends alerts to my cell phone when a cycle finishes. I can also check on my phone to see how much longer until the cycle is done.
