Great deal, Weber could buy 4 on sale verses 1 weber. Took 90 minutes to asdemble. Quality of product is on par with Weber. Heavy porcelian kettle.
Great Grill
I bought this almost 2 months ago and was finally ready to put it out. This thing was a bear to put together. Nothing was pre-assembled. First use, the ignition switch did not work. Called the manufacturer and they told me a work around to getting it lit and said they will ship the part, should arrive in 2 weeks. Other than that, the grill works great. Everything I have cooked has come out perfectly.
Thank you for leaving a review. We are sorry to hear the ignition did not work. We are happy to hear the part is being shipped while you're still able to use your grill. Happy grilling!
large prep area
I switched from charcoal to gas 30+ years ago, just because gas is faster, but I did miss the charcoal taste. Now I am old and retired, and the proud owner of a beat up gas grill, this caught my eye, read the desrciption and liked what I read.It came packed very well with enough styrofoam to make 482 coffee cups.this thing weight about 100 pounds,so do your gym workout.Unpacked it all on the back patio, you might want to download the 3D directions, but being a male thats just unheard of,assemble went pretty smooth, time consuming but smooth, about 3 hours by myself( remember I am old),my suggestion is to pay attention to the direction drawings, build on a flat hard surface things go together better,DO NOT lose any hardware, there are no extra screws, clips etc. So,without cooking with charcoal for a while I knew there was going to be a learning curve, personally I think the briquette baskets are not needed, unless a small portion is being cooked,I also think I am going to use the presoaked type charcoal for a more even burn, anyway,I cooked a dozen pork chops, they came out good, still have that learning curve and things to try,but so far I am very happy( remember I am old,not much makes us happy)

Very Cool Grill
I was surprised to see this grill compared to the Weber Pro at half the price. When I got it home, I couldn't believe how much cooking space I had, plus the room to place my marinades and trays, drinks, utensils. This thing is awesome. The propane starter is a great plus. It saved me 10 minutes getting out my lighter fluid and lighting the coals, praying the wind doesn't blow the fire out! Grilled some Angus burgers with a bbq marinade and they came out great! Highly recommend.

Good quality grill
Picked the grill up as scheduled at the store. Easy to assemble. All the parts were there. Disappointed in the lighter system. I had to take the charcoal out of the grill and place them in a chimney to get them fully ignited. (Kingsford). The grill got to about 350 degrees and grilled my steaks perfectly looking forward to using it many many times
Former Weber Girl…
We've had this grill 2+ years and absolutely LOVE it. Assembly was easy (for an old woman), it produces the same quality of cook as we achieved on our Weber Performer charcoal grill at a significantly lower price. A few features are better than the Weber, for instance the charcoal bin is enclosed with a door. Not just under the work surface. But as stated in previous reviews, the lid needs to be pushed down every time to get closed. However, it doesn't take too long to make it a habit doesn't. Now if they would market & sell an exact replacement cover I'd be a happy lady. Ours only lasts 2-3 years in our year round Sunshine. Going to be needing one soon…. We will also be replacing our Weber gas grill with a Members Mark Gas Pro Series grill when the time comes.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review after 2 years. We are so happy to hear how much you're enjoying the Member's Mark Gas Assist! Your feedback regarding the lid has been noted. Love the look and gas assist works great!
I used the grill 4 times now, I owned a weber charcoal grill for a few years now and enjoyed it very much, purchased this grill with the stand and have had an issue with air flow. the top vent is way less air then my old weber. Every time I close the lid my heat starts to drop, does anyone know if there is a replacement lid with a larger vent? If not I will need to somehow cut put the vent.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear about your issue with air control. Please note there are some tips for air control on page 10 of your manual. Note: The Ash Sweep (located under the Firebowl) functions as both a cleaning tool for eliminating ash from the Firebowl, and also as a 2nd air intake control while cooking. Not enough air flow
I've cooked on many grills and smokers over the years. When looking at this I was worried about the air flow and it staying hot. Can't keep it above 300 even with the catcher removed. Going to have to modify just to have a basic cook. Added a gauge hole for the top vent. Even for the $150 I spent I still wish I went with the webber. I'll figure it out but really didn't want to have to modify it to be able to grill the basics.
price is right-not a Weber
I bought this for $129 at the end of the season of 2022. It was a bit time consuming to put together, but so was my Weber one touch. It is a decent grill but there are a few draw backs. Worth the $421 price difference between to two? Probably not. The electronic start works when it wants to, but my Weber didn't work after a while either. Big complaints-bin is not big enough to hold a large bag of charcoal-this could have been so easily fixed in the design phase. And the biggest issue is the grates. In order to get the charcoal over the flame properly, all grates need to be removed. The grates are heavy, dirty, clumsy and not well thought out. They don't go on to the grill without some effort and often times slip into the coals. I often wonder if the designers take the time to use the products before going to production because they would have known that this was a big problem. Keeping the grill for now and dealing with the design flaws-it does cook nicely. They were so close, but so far away.

It's NOT a Weber for a reason
I bought this a month ago and have regretted not going with the Weber ever since. First, the grate are horrible. The material is fine, but it come in 3 separate sections, meaning if you want to put charcoal in the center of the grill, you have to remove all 3 of those sections. Second, the gas assist has not worked properly since we got it. You can hear gas flowing but igniter will not stay lit unless it's a brand new canister. After a single use it won't stay lit. I hooked a larger tank up to it with an adaptor and it ran fine, but that's not the intended us. Third, the top vent does vent as well as the Weber design. Fourth, without the gas assist this grill takes much longer to get hot than a Weber. Will be returning for…you guessed it….a Weber!
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that the gas assist feature on your grill isn't working!
