I have a pretty ugly burn because of the design of this grill. It has burned me three times. First time I chalked up to an accident. Second time I started thinking I might be dumb. Third time, no it is the design. The issue is the shape of the lid combined with the side hinge and top handle. If you are even slightly right of center when you open it, your arm is well clear on the handle the closed position but as it opens, it forces your arm to extend and straighten, which then touches the lid. I have a scar on both forearms. Before you think, this guy is just careless. I have owned a dozen grills, work with dangerous equipment daily, metal fabrication, saws drills torches, etc. I am careful and not accident prone. But this grill lol is something special. As to the other features of the grill. It is like a great set of ideas that were not thought through. The grate is designed in 3 pieces in a way where the sides pieces go in first then the middle. The problem is that the side ones fall in off the middle piece is out so you end up hanging to juggle them all which is a pain when it is hot. I welded the side pieces in place. The gas assist is more a novelty and I doubt anyone uses it after the first month. The air vents on top and bottom do not open enough not close tight enough to give real control. Now the little trash can that hold a bag of charcoal is awesome. Love that little trash can.

I like it better than the Weber 22" I replaced.

Loving it. Havent gone Chef on it yet. Have cooked Chicken breast with bone ended up smoked. First use mistake was awesome. Did flank steak Sunday it came out beyond perfect.
