Meets all my expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a single unit, but everybody had the dryer with the controls on the upper front, except LG. Quiet, powerful, and good looking as well. I’m using less soap and my clothes are getting cleaner. Time will tell, but as of right now, I’m a fan.

Great Look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this unit about a month now. Love it. Easy to use, clothes come out looking great. Love the controls in the middle. I'm short and this makes it very easy to read without using a step stool. Attractive and looks great in laundry room. Have owned LG in past and have been happy with them.

Sleek, modern, and excellent performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected this to allow more room I’m my laundry room for organization. I couldn’t be more please with both the sleek look and the great performance. The dryer sensors keep the clothes from coming out burning hot and saves on electricity. The control setting are so easy and functional for this short one! A little more expensive but it will save money in the long run.

Sleek and Easy to Operss as te

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this machine installed two weeks ago. If is beautiful to look at and I like that the settings are now in the middle of the machine. Unfortunately I did have a problem with the machine not emptying all of the water. I had to wring out some of the clothes. The repairman came today. He adjusted the drain hose and the washer did spin out all of the water. Here’s hoping it is fixed. Otherwise, I love this machine.

Perfect Tower!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a mega capacity washer and dryer. We need a stack unit and this set is perfect. I love that there is only one panel and it's in the middle. I am tall and still had a hard time reaching the dials on the dryer of old machine - which were stacked as well. It has every option available, is easy to use, does a fabulous job and fits perfectly. Overall, this is fantastic replacement! I love it and would highly recommend it!

Had high hopes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading all the reviews I had high hopes that this washer/dryer would do an adequate job but it seems like that isn't the case. As others mentioned the controls take a bit to get used to but after using it for a couple of weeks my view is that it's not too flexible when it comes to customizing the wash/dry cycles. I'm hoping that it's just me not knowing how to use it but I don't think that's the case. For my washes and drying I usually don't use the default settings since it's either not at the temperature I need or the length of time I need the cycle to last. With my old washers I can easily change the settings manually but with this unit I have to go through a somewhat extended process to achieve what I want. There really should be a way to save my choices as a custom setting so that I don't have to do it every time but it seems like there isn't. Another thing that's disappointing is that I don't think it's washing the clothes clean. I even used they heavy soil setting but it didn't help. My kid is in basketball and lately the clothes have been soaked with sweat. I used to not wash it right away and as you can imagine the smell of the clothes was awful. I had to presoak the clothes to get rid of the smell. This time I decided to wash it right away. Knowing that the sweat drenched the clothes I added Lysol pretreatment to the wash and set the soil level to heavy. When the wash was completed (to over two hours) I started emptying the clothes into the dryer but noticed that there was still some lingering scent is sweat. This leads me to think that the unit isn't doing a good job with the wash. As for the drying, similar to the wash there's not custom setting to save my choices. What's even worst is that I can't seem to find a way to manually set the unit to dry my clothes for longer than 60 minutes. If I known how restricting this set was I might have not purchased it. I'm hoping that LG can update their software to this unit so that it'll allow more customization. I doubt it but I can hope, right?

Lots of features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had LG washer/dryer appliances for over five years. Bought this one to get the larger washer tub (house we moved to had another brand with a smaller tub). Only done one load but worked fine, just as expected.

Loving my LG tower!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After doing some research, I chose the LG tower to replace a 25 yr old Frigidaire frontload stack. The LG has the features I want, fits in the same space with no alterations needed, and is a top-rated brand for reliability. Also, it's gorgeous! Favorite features: • easy to reach controls (in middle as opposed to top of stack) • drum lights • prewash, extra rinse & steam functions Only minor complaint- the dryer door gasket picks up a bit of lint each load, but it wipes off easily with a damp cloth.

Good Fit & Easy Reach Controls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the LG Washtower about a month ago for two main reasons; 1) the dimensions of the Washtower [width & height] were a good fit for my laundry closet; stacked separate washer & dryer units would have presented a height issue 2) the Washtower's center control panel is very reachable unlike stacked washer & dryers.

An amazing space saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we decided to move our laundry from the basement to the first floor, we thought we'd have to choose either side-by-side machines or the small, ugly over/under units we had seen. Stackable units weren't an option, because the dryer is too far off the floor; a stool would be needed to reach deep into the dryer, and even to reach the controls. The WashTower was a surprise! With a vertically central control panel, operating either machine is easy; the dryer is low enough that we can reach the back; the capacity is greater than the units we replaced; and it looks good, too! The decision was made easier by comments from friends who had WashTowers; all of them told us how much they loved them. The only downside is that the smart features may not work with all wi-fi systems. At the moment, it seems the smart features aren't essential, so we're using the basic functions available on the control panel. If you're going to use the steam dry feature, you need four hoses. Although we've had it for only a short time, the WashTower is impressive, and works well.
