[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this based on consumer reports and dealer/repair reports. First one would not fire up gas. Check lines for gas, ran checks and got NO GAS code. Dealer was going to repair under warranty but I told them I paid for a new dryer not a refurbished one. Took some talking to get them to replace the unit with a new one but all is good. Still a pain to get connected to ThinQ but once it connects it is great.. Like to be told when cycle is done. So far no problems, and time will tell. Took off one star because had to go thru two units to get one that worked.

What I like is the silent function compared to the previous generation of washer and dryer I used. To me, the smart functionality is halfbaked i.e. you get notifications but there is no useful feature yet that I would pay.

ULTRA LARGE CAPACITY SMART WI-FI ENABLED FRONT LOAD ELECTRIC DRYER WITH TURBOSTEAM AND BUILT-IN INTELLIGENCE about 2 months ago and love it! I often leave the clothes in the dryer and fold them later. Of course I end up with wrinkled clothes. Having the steam setting works great to get out the wrinkles out. I just pop in the cotton T-shirts and give it a quick steam and most if not pretty much all the wrinkles are gone. I've even put my suit pants in to get the hanger creases out. Having the washer and dryer synced to my phone does help me stay on top of when my clothes are done, but it is nice to have the luxury to steam away the wrinkles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was in need of a new Washer & Dryer as my old set was close to 20 years old. After doing some research I decided on going to this front loading LG electric dryer that was WiFi enabled. I had removed the old dryer and thoroughly cleaned the dryer vent. I did have trouble with frequently getting the error code d80 when drying large loads of items like towels. Made sure the dryer vent was not collapsed or kinked and that the dryer vent was not clogged. Checked the dryer vent cap on my roof and as it turned out it was too small and was installed improperly when my house was built. I found and purchased a new, larger and much better vent cap for the roof. Had a roofer change it out problem and was completely resolved. No more error codes and clothes dried faster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer dries our laundry quickly but also doesn't "cook" our clothes by getting too hot. I trust it with some of my thinner shirts and other items I used to let air dry. The steam function seems to work well for de-wrinkling my wife's cardigans. I have not tried to connect to the smartphone controls, and don't anticipate needing to use that feature. Two things to note: 1) when the gas kicks on it sounds like a blast furnace. Much louder than my old dryer, but our laundry room is out of the way so it doesn't annoy us. 2) In addition to purchasing a gas hose, you will need to purchase the adaptor/connector piece to actually connect the gas line to the dryer. It was a simple purchase from a local hardware store, but an extra trip I wasn't anticipating. Overall, love the dryer so far!

Sold my first set with my home but loved them so much that even after shopping and comparing I still bought the same washer/dryer just the newer model. Seems silly but love the easiness of cleaning the lint filter, and love the steam options along with the wrinkle care.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a 22 year old model and, boy, has technology improved. Needless to say, much quieter, far more options (including a steam sanitizer) more efficient and more convenient (with his own censor for dryness). It's not even bigger (front to back) and so it fits a tight space well. I had a minor warrantee issue (front door rubber damper) and, though it took far too long to get the personable contact at LG to pinpoint my replacement, I did get a prompt replacement and I repaired the door stop damper in five minutes In short, so far, so good, even so great. And the matching washer is comparably good. RB
