Hi Elizabeth! We apologize for the inconvenience that this generator has caused. This unit is one of our best inverter generators and will output a true 15 amps. At times, if connecting it to an RV, you must take for consideration of the inverter/charger running behind the scenes that will also be consuming from your generator. Please call us if you still have the unit. We are here to help! Thanks for your time! 855 888-3598
