As others have noted the included leader hose is JUNK. Came home to find water pouring out from a broken coupling. And replacing the female to female leader hose was a hassle. Otherwise, I do like this model. I had an older box that would not stay put. This one has the base which can be anchored by the included stakes. I dug out a level spot in my flower bed, put down a layer of small stones and secured the base. So far so good. Winds up okay, not great.

BL: it’s fine. Really only fits one hose, tips over if not secured. Swivel is nice in theory but doesn’t really work. Connector hose it comes with gets replaced immediately. I’d go with the bigger 225’ one elsewhere. I’m not returning (those lines are a pain) but I wouldn’t buy again either.

Leaky hose real

Terrible hose reel and even worse customer service. First, it was ordered on May 18, 2026 and showed a two (2) day delivery. Didn't get delivered until May 30, 2026. No reason, just slow workers I guess. Tried to cancel after the two (2) days and it still showed as not shipping, was told "sorry, it's already in process and can't be canceled." That was on May 21, 2026, nine (9) days before I actually got it. FedEx shows it didn't ship until May 25, 2026. So why couldn't it be canceled on the May 21st, 2026? Also, once connected, it leaks at all connections. Tried different hoses, different outdoor faucets, same results. Terrible hose reel.

I’ve been using Suncast hose reels for about 20 years, so I bought this one from Sam’s Club expecting the same reliable design I’ve trusted for years. Unfortunately, it feels like Suncast decided to cut corners. The connecting hose is now about two feet shorter than it used to be. I figured, no problem, I’ll just use the hose from my old Suncast reel. But now they changed the connection setup too — instead of the standard setup they’ve used for years, this one has two female ends, making the old hose useless without extra adapters. It’s disappointing to see a trusted brand cheapen the product and make it less convenient for loyal customers. Save a penny, lose a dollar. Good riddance to what used to be my go-to brand.

You have unwind how much hose you or If you just pull hose it topples over, with only 50 foot hose. Stated can use 100 foot hose.
