As other's say, it does take several pulls (5 to 10) to start when running on propane. It is purging the air from the LPG hose. If you don't disconnect the tank, it usually starts on the 2nd pull. The power is slightly reduced when running propane, but it still has plenty of power. I ran a fan that draws about 3 amps and it would still operate my 15amp circular saw with no problem. This should provide enough power to run my gas furnace in an emergency. I am very excited to have a generator that runs on propane so I can keep the maintenance low and not worry about fuel lines gumming up.

I use this periodically to power the necessary things when the power goes out. Starts up every time and isn't as loud as I thought it would be. It's a great all around generator at a great price. I do wish that it came with the wheel kit instead of charging another $50 for it.

Love that this has dual fuel...a huge benefit. It's easy to set up, easy to use. Runs everything we need during an electric outage. Mostly we needed it for an oxygenator, cpap machines, refrigerator for insulin, portable heat or a/c. It will run more than those including small freezer, a few lights, microwave, tv, computer.

This generator was a major blessing during the 4 day long power outages caused by the 2019 tornado that came through Dallas, TX this year. I was able to keep my refrigerator running and some lights on! It also powered my alarm system to keep my house safe from the looters that started walking through my neighborhood shortly after the storm! I was so thankful to have this generator to use!

I live on a ranch/farm and plan to use this as a back up in case of power failure. I can power up my machine shed without any problem. Things I like about it, the price was good, It's light enough you can move it around without much trouble. It's dual fuel, it's quite, and it's easy to start. Things I don't like, it has no wheels, I wished it did, however I mounted it on a garden wagon and pull it around wherever I need it.It works for me.

Read instruction manual, then I read it again. Added the supplied oil, and gasoline with Sta-Bil added. Popped on first pull (on full choke), set choke to half and it immediately fired up. Plugged in my 2 HP air compressor that is finicky on starting current, handled it very well. Shut gas off and generator off, connected propane bottle, and made changes on control panel for propane use. Started immediately with choke off (engine was still warm, so I didn't choke it). Louder than I expected, but I am using it for home use when power goes out, so that is not an issue to me. High winds and heavy rain forecast for tonight, so it may get a workout soon. Seems very well made, instructions were definitely written in USA, very easy to understand.

Just bought this today. Went through the last 2 hurricanes without one. Yes, you should leave but I am a biologist and my job requires me to work the hurricane. So, I have to stay. My wife and children stay if it is below a Cat 4. House can take it and we are 18 ft above sea level. I do not want to have a house full of hot and mean woman to come home too or get cell calls from while I drive around getting waste water and drinking water plant back up running. I did a lot of research and this model was the best for the money. The duel fuel means I can put a 100 lbs tank on, start it up and leave for work with 3 women happy at home with a/c, TV, frig and the Internet. They don't have to do anything. No Gas or restarting required by them! It works great. Came home, put some Mobil 10w30 in and start right up. I nplug in a portable a/c, TV, frig and Internet and this thing ran like a sewing machine. I am ready for weather and hope that I will never need it. Get off the fence and just buy one. It really does feel good to know your are ready this time.

Bought this generator for camping as I needed a bit more power that my Yamaha generator. This generator is bit less quite but packs more power and using propane is a great perk. Had to clean out the tank of gas a few times on my Yamaha generator. The Champion dual fuel generator does not have that issue. I am a big fan of anything that runs on propane as engine life span is much longer. Thanks Champion for for producing a generator that is dual fuel.

Purchased to use as a backup power source when electricity is out. Compact, convenient size, nice design, sufficient load rating for our needs. The dual fuel source is a nice option. We also purchased the wheel kit so one person can move it (can be heavy for one person to move without the wheels).

This is the first generator I have ever owned. The instructions were clear to follow to get the system up and running. Easy to start and the noise level is great. Wonderful entry level for needs when the power goes out. Look forward to getting good use out of the generator.
