Great Generator for a Great Price

Bought the Model 100401 for camping in my Travel Trailer. This unit is perfect for me as I can run my 13.500 BTU Air Conditioner with it. It has given me full independence from RV Parks as I no longer need the AC power hookup with this Generator. I bought the wheel kit and it was an easy install while making moving the generator around a breeze. I have a Champion 27 ton Log Splitter which is 3 years old and it has performed flawlessly year after year, so I was happy to find this generator from Champion as I trust their quality. Would recommended to anyone needing a great generator at a great price. Super Value for sure.

Very good generator for the money - highly recommended

I purchased this generator to replace a 20 year old generator of the same wattage. My first use was on Monday, 13 April after an EF-0 tornado touched down very near our home and downed power lines. I'm very pleased with the overall performance of the unit. The fuel capacity is very good, resulting in over 8 hours of run time under load for a full tank of gasoline. While not as quiet as some significantly more expensive generators, this unit is much quieter than my old generator. I can barely hear it running from inside my home.

Good working machine

I am using this dual fuel generator to power our 30 amp travel trailer when we are boondocking, It works great and will run a long time on a single tank of gas. Really like the option to use propane as well. Added the wheel kit and makes it easier to maneuver.

Great Generator

We've only had our generator a couple weeks, but it's so easy to use and we love the propane feature. We don't plan on using gas in it at all. The propane runs for a long time and is very efficient. The generator is easy to start (starts on the first pull!) and is simple enough that I can run it, even though I'm not very mechanically inclined. We did buy the wheel kit for it and like the easy maneuverability. Great product!!

I would recommend Champion Power Equipment.

We use the generator for emergency power during power outages. While it can run on gasoline it's great to have the dual fuel feature to keep you going without having to store gas. It was easy to set up and start running. It's great for keeping the lights on and the refrigerator going as well. It would be awesome if they made a rolling cart specifically designed to move around and easily slide off when running to be stable on flat ground. Plus when we go camping it's RV ready! Thanks Champion!

Looks like a great generator

Out of the box the generator looks amazing, haven't started it until I know I have to because of the hurricane coming to Florida. I think it's great I can also use propane as a source of fuel! Watched many videos on it and think overall it should handle everything it needs to in time of needs for a storm and power outage for hopefully just a few days.

Useful in many ways

First off, easy pull starts. No problem at all. Second, versatile and easy to use. I got this as a power back up at home in case storms take down the electric lines. I lost a freezer full of food after a storm a couple years ago. But I've also used it to run the 30 amp travel trailer and to run power tools when away from fixed power outlets. So far I haven't loaded it up to the point it has strained to keep up. Not that I'm going to try. I didn't get it to run the A/C or water heater or stove. Just to get us through a few days without losing our food or running around the house with flashlights. It's a bit loud but I can set it up under cover far enough from the house that it's not a problem. On a job site, who cares if it's loud. I don't think I'd run it in a crowded campground like in a national forest. Maybe Champion offers an extra quiet exhaust system? I'm glad I've got this generator for the peace of mind and the flexibility it gives me.

Great product.

The generator starts easily and has enough power to run my entire house, providing I don't run too many of the larger items (A/C, pool pump, Air handlers. I believe I could run one large unit at a time. I purchased it as an emergency backup to keep our refrigeration appliances, internet, and communications operating during the Zombie Apocalypse. Or any other apocalypse that may come along. The only thing I would change, would be to add additional sound damping. It is not excessively loud, but we live in a neighborhood and I would prefer that they not know we have a generator. We run ours on propane. This way it can sit for long periods of time without the carburetor getting gummed up with stale gas. Also, propane has a very-very long shelf life. We secured our generator and a ten gallon propane tank to a furniture dolly.

So far so good

The generator had an easy setup. Added oil, connected the propane hose and propane tank, made sure the choke was in run, turned the switch to on and opened the propane tank and on the generator and pulled the string and it started. Super quite too. Cant wait till I actually have to use it.

Exactly as described

Purchased this for RV camping. While I haven't had it long, I really like how it was packaged to start. With everything being put together and packaged so cheaply, this was done right. I bought the champion wheel kit also, it bolted on in minutes. Very happy with both and my confidence in this equipment has gone up due to the quality and the fact that it was exactly what was described. It started on the second pull, after I remembered to turn the propane tank on. I have a 32' camper and it runs the AC and all the lights as well as the stereo. Can sit right inside from it running and han have a regular conversation. There is no raising your voice to talk over it. Have already recommended to many other campers and will continue to do so.
