Exceptional deal, great quality, very versatile.

Picked this up for multiple uses - backup power for storm damage out in the country, emergency and disaster response (Red Cross, CERT and Sheriff's Office volunteer family) as well as for boondocking with our travel trailer. Got an awesome price on a solid genny that works well off a gas can or our camper's quick-connect propane. A little heavy at 105#, but this farm wife and her teenage daughter managed it without too much drama. Starts fairly easy, and quieter than expected.

Amazing Generator

This is one of the nicest generators I have ever purchased. The ability to use either gasoline or propane, without having to drain the generator tank, adds amazing flexibility for working anywhere. Extremely budget friendly and produces enough power output to power multiple tools on the jobsite or appliances during a power outage. Provides piece of mind.

Properly titled. It is a Champ!

I am a woman and there were ladies asking me questions about it before I made it to checkout. Many do not have someone at home to help and I had never used one before either. My husband is totally disabled but sat outside to talk me through the steps. I can tell you the instructions need a little more labeling but they are clear after reading 4 times. Especially the choke diagram. (The far left is full choke and the right is run. Propane needs the 75% or 3rd long line on a first crank cold start.) For propane, make sure the fitting are tight but don't over tighten. Don't forget your oil they provide. They also incude a funnel and you really need it. I am using propane and had a Masterplug cord reel from Sam's Club plus bought a second one. I plugged in the chest freezer and a light to one, then the fans and personal electronics in the other. The propane lasted from 6:30 pm until 7:15 am. I am over joyed. The motor never bogged down. Now, on propane it cost me $68 initial purchase per tank, but I can swap the tanks for a filled one at about $20 per tank. I bought 3 initial tanks. I thought it might only last 6 hours; but it went over 12. Now I will need to buy one more generator and will have plenty juice for a refrigerator, or coffee? I might be able to plug in more but I don't want to overload the cord reels. I hope this helps someone. Oh, and it does vibrate a little so it will move a tiny bit over the use. Make sure to point the exhaust screen away from your home; it is a black metal sqare box with a small round screen in it. It will get very hot also, like an oven. Finally, be aware of monoxide fumes and keep it in open air. Enjoy!

Great Generator!

Bought to use at my farm for a small 14 ft camper. I was using a 8000-9000 watt generator, that was way overkill and using too much fuel, and well as too loud. This one is a lot more quiet, of course they all are going to make a little noise, but this one half as loud as my other one. 3.4 gal fuel tank and I filled it up, never ran out of fuel and ran it about 4 hrs one night and about 4 hours the next day. Haven't used the propane yet but that will be great if you do not want to run out over night. May buy another one for my daughter for emergency use.

So far so good

I bought it because of the two fuel option, LP gas is easier to travel with in our 5th wheel camper, do n't have to worry about spilling gasoline or smelling gas fumes. Runs longer on LP. I wasn't sure it would be big enough to power our camper but set it up and started it. Went in the camper and turned on most items and left it run for 30 mintues..no problems here.

Very good deal

My power goes out several times a year. I was tired of the gasoline only generators because of the carb maintenance. Bought in January, didn't need til July. Took it out of the box, attached the propane, pulled it twice and I had power! Quiet and glad it is safer for my electronics than the old one I had. More power too. Got it for a very great price. They've gone up a bit now, like everything, but are still a great buy. Definitely would buy again, but I think it will last a very long time. I would recommend it .

Love the duel fuel generator

I bought this generator for whole house back up power. I specifically picked this model because it was dual fuel. I have run it extensively on propane because I know that by using propane I don't have to worry about gumming up the generator with old gas. I like the fact I can use gas if I need to. The generator was easy to set up, easy to break in, and starts on the 1st or 2nd pull every time. It does run as advertised for the lengths given on propane. 3500 watts is enough to power my house (gas range, gas water heater, gas furnace). I love knowing that I have the power needed if I get a power outage. The generator has a nice small footprint, easy to move, and looks good. It feels like it will give me years of trouble free use. Overall I'd recommend this and Champion brand generators to my friends and family. I'm already thinking of buying a smaller one for camping.

Will this handle my Work and Play?

Took it right out of the box, filled it with 0.6 quarts of 10-30w oil, connected it to propane, and it started on the third pull. Then, I let it warm up for about 3 minutes with no load. I plugged in the 30 amp power cable from my Work and Play (toy hauler) and turned on the A/C. Since it usually take a few seconds for the A/C to turn on, I ran outside to listen to the generator to see how much it would bogg down. It barely gave any indication when the A/C kicked on, then continued to run smooth. I was not sure if it kicked on or if the generator had a "hiccup". I ran back inside and, sure enough, it was blowing out cold air. I let it run another 10 minutes and everything was perfect. I feel confident this with meet my needs when we go camping!

Finally got to use it!

Living in California you know your power is going to be shut off. My wife finally convinced me to buy a portable generator. After intensive review of all the product I chose this model for it's dual fuel capability, power output, and good reviews. I also got it at a good price. After 14 months of living in the garage, I finally got to use it! I chose to use propane for the fuel since it feels safer and easier. (No draining gasoline from the tank required for storage.) Super easy to start. Replaced oil after 5 hours. Ran it for 8 hours total. Noisy, but that's expected. Power output seemed adequate to run my Subzero, but if I put more load on the system, electronics on SubZero didn't like it. It didn't break anything, and it seemed to still be powering the compressor, but display output for controller was not correct. Still glad we saved our food in the frig!
