Great gift

My wife got me this generator as a gift. I took it out of the box and put some wheels on it, oil, fuel and fired it up. I will leave more feedback later as I use it more. It was very easy to get started and I expect it to last a long time. I really wanted something for emergency situations and this seems like an excellent quality gift so far.

Rock & Roll

I purchased a used Honda EM4000 to power my RV and as construction site power as we've gone into home renovations. It worked for awhile, but was noisy and ungodly heavy. It died about 6 weeks after putting it into service. We got into a spot during renovations where we needed power onsite. After researching all the local "deals", we settled on this generator. We got it onsite, filled it with gas (and oil), pulled the starter cord once, and off she went! A lot quieter than our old one. Based on the specs, I figure it'll cost about $1/hr for fuel to operate it! Based on this initial success, I'd buy another Champion product! Way to go!

Great generator but quite loud

I purchased the generator before Hurricane Ida but, sadly, it did not arrive until a month and a half later. I ran a test run and found it east to set up and move, even without any wheels. It was loud but that's not a deal killer. They even provided a bottle of oil. Thanks!

My second one

Right out of the box it was simple to put together and started on the second pull with propane. My last one left with my old RV when I sold it, bought a new RV and knew which generator I was buying, this thing runs flawless and powers my entire Rv when we dry camp, inexpensive and easy to operate

First at all, buy your generator and be safe using it.

This is excellent equipment for your RV, your camping house, or your residential house. It is easy to turn it on and connect your electrical system to it. It is safe indoors and it is portable. I love my Champion Generator. When We bought this equipment, we did it thinking of getting a camper, but we have not bought it yet, so we have used our generator for other purposes at home. And we hope to buy our camper soon.

Love this generator!

Use this for emergency power loss and camping if I need to run the campers AC off grid. Love this unit particularly the propane and gas options to run. Volume of the engine noise is the same on either fuels, but I noticed that there isn't any exhaust smell when running on propane if that is a concern for you.

Perfect gift

The storm / tornado hit pierce township last March 1, 2017. cause my basement to flooded due to power down = sump pump down. so my parents surprise me with this new generator as my early birthday gift, to save me from another flood in the future. We are still trying to figure out a proper location to store this but definitely a perfect wonderful gift.

Researched

I use this generator to power my home during hurricane season. Last year I made a mistake and bought a competitor's generator, it failed after 3 days. My neighbor bought a Champion and it ran for 30 plus days without an issue. I brought the old one back and bought a Champion. I took it out of the box last week and had it running within 30 minutes. There is now a hurricane approaching Louisiana and I feel like I am prepared.

Awesome emergency Generator

Excellent emergency generator, with the capability to use Gasoline or LPG gas. Im adjusted to live in the Caribbean where hurricane and storms disrupt power. This winter in Texas let me hanging not having power to protect my family made me feel useless. Now with this generator I don't need to worry about losing power and i can use gasoline or LPG, which make difference when gasoline is scarce and you can find LPG. Highly recommend het one of this generator. Make sure you buy the wheel kit to help move it easier.

Excellent so far

I have another manufacturers generator which I've had a long time. While it still works well I wanted a backup generator and really wanted dual fuel. Living in Florida through many storms I can tell you first hand that it may be difficult to find gasoline. The stations also require their electric pump in order to pump gasoline. So unless the station has a generator themselves, they aren't pumping fuel after the storm calms down either. I love that I can run this on propane. I've only run it on gasoline so far to test it but will test propane soon. While this doesn't come with a wheel kit, they are available or easy enough to build a little platform (pickup a $10 mover dolly from your local HF). Hint: On all of my generators I make sure I never store gas in them. I run it completely dry. I then pull the cord a few more times to really get most of it out. Then I start the generator at least once a year for 15 mins or so and let it run dry again. I've never had to clean a carb since I've started doing this. This was also relatively inexpensive. For the price, and if you have the space, it might even be worth buying two of these. While the generator doesn't make quite as much power on propane, it's still pretty sufficient for basic needs (fridge, window AC unit, charging phone/laptop, a fan...the things you will really want when power is out for a long time and it's hot/humid in FL) and it's much easier and safer to store than gasoline. Gasoline doesn't like to sit for a long time, even with stabilizer. Propane has no issues sitting for 20+ years and it's safe.
