In this island, it is imperative to have alternate sources of power, as the electric grid in PR is outdated, mismanaged and monopolized. Having a generator is a must, if you can't afford solar, and having the dual fuel option was a huge plus, and pretty much the deciding factor in acquiring this unit. The sound produced by the running generator is not too loud, which is great.

I use this generator for my power tools, I can use several at the sametime and works great, I also like the convenience of being able to use propane or gasoline and no problem with either fuel. another thing I like its the smooth and quiet operating level, great product

I had no problems getting this thing to run. Hooked up the fuel hose to the inlet, threw the selector switches to the LP position and one crank to start. One issue was that upon moving the fuel selector switch a small spring clip that I think holds the switch in place broke off and flew across the ground. That's disappointing but since I don't intend to use gasoline in this ever I should be able to just keep the switch in its current position without any issues.

I am still inside the 5 hour break in period, but it seems to run perfectly. I am using it in part to run a 80 amp battery charger for a large battery bank (solar) and the rest to run several small appliances. Cranks right off. Does the job I want. This way I can run part from battery bank and part from generator. Then when the load is low, charge the battery bank back up. Last winter's snow storm taught me a lesson!

Having a generator that can operate on gasoline or propane has proven to be a huge value add! We've been to many service stations where the gas my have been in the station's ground tanks longer then most but still good. I'm not a mechanic, but I think vehicles can survive better than generators on this type of gas. So if you're in a situation where you think the gas might become an issue, with the dual fuel unit, you have the option to buy a few propane tanks. Avoid the risk of damaging your unit with potentially dated gasoline.

I decided to get ahead of any possible blackouts, and bought 2 of these for each end of my home. I wanted units that offered duel fuel so that I could run them on propane, instead of gas. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but I'm going to do a dry run just in case. I have one to run my Refridgerator, Freezer and Furnace the other to handle lights, computers, tv's

This is the best generator on the market in this price range. A duel-fuel generator is a must have for anyone who wants to be prepared for a sustained outage. By having the flexibility to use propane or gas, we have great flexibility for use in an outage or for a weekend camping. Highly recommend!

I purchased this unit to Run our 2015 Keystone hideout camper with a 15k btu a/c unit. I wanted Dual fuel so that if I did run out of gas I could utilize the large propane tanks on the camper. We just ran the unit this past sat at the Mardi Gras parade. I really wasn't any louder than the pusher motor home generators. We ran a full day off propane BBQ tank. This unit is light enough for me and my wife to put in the back of the truck. I will be getting the wheel kit for it later on. This will also run a few items in our house if the power goes out for a long period of time.

As an extended family we have started to camp, this generator was exactly what we needed. It has all the features we were looking for at an extremely affordable price. Bought this generator to power our refrigerator, TV/cable and internet as well as LED lights and a fan. Loved the Propane option as we have a buried 120G tank for our pool heater and summer kitchen. Paid gas company to add a connection and hooked directly to generator. Needed some help to get started (the choke controls are not well labelled), but the support line folks were a huge help. Highly recommend this generator.
