I purchased my generator for the main convenience of the propane, which I like best. I have a small RV and my new Champion has performed very well. I am impressed with the performance using several thing's in the RV at one time, and the generator worked great. At our altitude of almost 6,500 ft high, reading the manual, stating every 1000 ft may interfere with the performance, but no problem. I purchased the generator for the fact that in the winter here in CO, have had my electric go out many hrs, this way I am prepared for next electrical outage also. Great feeling when one is older and lives alone, I now feel secure with owning my new Champion...thank You!

Used similar size Champion on RV for three years, zero issues. Bought this one to give us duel fuel capabilities, thinking of getting third duel fuel to back up whole house generator. We were without power 6 1/2 days in 2017 with Hurricane Irma and we had house full of kids and older folks. Not going to get caught off guard again!

It truly was a lifesaver. I had returned home from the hurricane, and was tired and it was super hot. My son hooked the generator up for me and said, "turn it on, flip this switch and pull the cord." I'm 70 so having to pull a cord, judging from past experiences, I thought, sure. Much to my surprise it was very easy for me to pull. It has now gone through its second hurricane. I bought this generator because I live in an all-electric neighborhood and I really needed some support. The dual fuel generator is a great option, and using the propane option prevents me from having to use gasoline stabilizers in the off-season. The generator isn't weather resistant, and like most companies they sell a solution. Because this generator is required to be outside, I'd love to see a better price or better options for protecting it from rain incursion. Also like most generators it doesn't have wheels for easy transport, but a creative person can get this thing more mobile for less money. (Square Furniture dolly) The generator is quiet enough, and powerful enough for my needs.

I only gave it a 4-star rating because I haven't had any long term experience with it yet. I have only used the generator for a couple of startup runs. It seems to be a well built piece of equipment but only time will tell how good it is. Planned Use: After spring / summer storms or winter ice storms knock out electricity for an extended period. It will keep essential services going in the house; fridge, lights, TV, etc. Good price. Don't have to tie up a lot of cash for a generator that will not get used much. Dual fuel is a nice feature to have. Maintenance startup runs are easy with propane, don't have to drain the fuel lines afterwards. Ran perfectly out of the box so no problems yet. Adequate supply of accessories are available for add-on improvements. Only drawback for me was having to purchase a wheel kit separately. It should have come with wheels already on it. It weighs about 100 pounds so it needs wheels and a pull handle (also in wheel kit).

The lights in the house went out from the Beryl storm. It worked wonders kept the freezer going
