Cranks right off, works as advertised.

I am still inside the 5 hour break in period, but it seems to run perfectly. I am using it in part to run a 80 amp battery charger for a large battery bank (solar) and the rest to run several small appliances. Cranks right off. Does the job I want. This way I can run part from battery bank and part from generator. Then when the load is low, charge the battery bank back up. Last winter's snow storm taught me a lesson!

Dual Fuel, a Great Option

I bought this product based solely on the reviews of others and it dual fuel option. I have never purchased a generator of any kind before. However, I recently purchased an Airstream Bambi and looked into the necessity of having a dependable generator when " boondocking." Champion came up consistently as a dependable generator for my needs. Further review supported the benefits of have the dual fuel options as LP was preferable to gasoline in most cases. So I purchased this model for it reputation, features, and it price. Haven't taken it out the box yet, but I'm trusting the reviews and Champion's long history of dependable products.

I would buy this again

I run my RV on this. It seems to handle everything easily. This is a nice unit. Really like the dual fuel option. I run it on propane mostly, but when you run out it's nice to have gasoline to back you up. It's really easy to switch back and forth. It starts really easy and doesn't make a great amount of noise. The only thing I'd change is where you drain the engine oil. It needs to be moved so it'll drain straight down into a pan instead of onto the frame rail.

Excellent piece of equipment!! The gas/propane feature is ge

We live in a rural part of southeast Oklahoma. Bought this last month and I have already used it. We live in an RV while fixing up the house on 5 acres. It has plenty of power to run are entire RV. It's been over 100 degrees and the AC is a must. It powered our entire RV with everything running. It's actually a life and death situation here if we didn't have the generator. We used propane and it started right up!! And then I use the gas feature while using it on remote parts of the acreage. But I have one big complaint!!! I haven't received my shirt yet!!! Maybe they are out of XXL sizes, I'm not sure. I would recommend this to anyone for emergencies or everyday use where it's to far for extension cords.

Owner

The generator runs great….. very happy with it. But there was a casting on one of the motor mounts that was broke. The machine was packed very well so in order for the piece to break someone must have dropped it a considerable distance. When I started it, the motor barely vibrates so I made a piece to replace the broken casting instead of returning the machine.

Very Nice Generater

Bought this generater for the many power outages we encounter. First off with this unit the duel fuel is amazing. I use gasoline mostly but lp gas comes in handy for extra fuel laying around on hand. The runnings watts cover most of the essentials that you would need in a outage. Bought the wheel kit and made it mobile, works great. The only cons I have with this unit is their is no fuel gauge, not needed but it helps, the unit will let me know when it's empty. And their is no hour meter or digital display for wattage output which would be nice to tell what your running use is. All and all good unit starts on the first pull!

Best RV Generator on the Market

I bought this generator because it was dual fuel and because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was one of the quietest out there! The generator cranked on the very first pull. I use the generator for camping and it runs everything in my trailer trailer to include the air conditioner and microwave. I have owned several generators in the past, but this Champion is by far the best one I have ever owned!

Ready for hurricane season

Purchased this product to prep for hurricane season. Started right up on both LPG and gasoline fuel. Ran it for the 5-hour break-in period and then drained the oil. Will be ready to go when the time comes by just adding oil and fuel. During the initial run time, I powered a large refrigerator/freezer, a separate chest freezer, a few fans, a battery charger, and used a shop vac. Everything ran as if plugged into public utility power. Generator was not straining - seemed like there was plenty more power to spare. Ran about 4hrs 15min on first gallon of gas.

Model 100401 Broken right out of the box

My brand new generator did not work right out of the box. I called Customer Service (somewhat of a nightmare). Waited a week for a new voltage regulator, put it on myself, same problem. Called Customer Service. Waited another week as Eddie sent me a new voltage regulator and new brushes. Installed them myself and the generator works. I was not happy and almost took the unit back to the store. For my patience, Champion should offer me a free extended warranty. Thank you.

Started right up, but a little louder than I hoped

I had no problems getting this thing to run. Hooked up the fuel hose to the inlet, threw the selector switches to the LP position and one crank to start. One issue was that upon moving the fuel selector switch a small spring clip that I think holds the switch in place broke off and flew across the ground. That's disappointing but since I don't intend to use gasoline in this ever I should be able to just keep the switch in its current position without any issues.
