I bought this generator when we had hurricanes brewing this year and heading toward Florida. The main reason I purchased this, is that it ran on propane and gasoline. Fortunately, the hurricane did only minor damage in our area and power was not lost. However, I of course did a trial run and it ran beautifully (on propane). The instructions were simple, easy to understand and clearly showed the different hookups and switches - I attached them to the unit. My wife could easily hook this up and run it, if I were not home during an emergency. I am impressed with this Champion.

This product is used for RV. I like having the option of using gas or propane with this generator. Machine is built well. The only downfall is how noisy it is. I wish champion could build an aftermarket muffler that could be added on to quite it down.

I run my RV on this. It seems to handle everything easily. This is a nice unit. Really like the dual fuel option. I run it on propane mostly, but when you run out it's nice to have gasoline to back you up. It's really easy to switch back and forth. It starts really easy and doesn't make a great amount of noise. The only thing I'd change is where you drain the engine oil. It needs to be moved so it'll drain straight down into a pan instead of onto the frame rail.

First generator I've ever owned. Very easy to get up and running right out of the box. The dual fuel sources are a huge benefit. One note about the unit....if there's not enough oil in the crank case it will not start. It has a "low oil" sensor that'll stop the engine. I think this is an awesome idea however we read right past this piece of info in the manual and called Champion because it would not start. They quickly knew this issue and we we're up and running in no time. Good customer service. Highly recommend.

I bought this portable generator knowing nothing about portable generators and found the Champion product to be extremely easy to set up and operate. It is much quieter than8 expected and was super impressed by the fact that the wheel kit accessories that I purchased were very easy to install and made the generator an even "better buy". I am extremely pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

I purchased my generator for the main convenience of the propane, which I like best. I have a small RV and my new Champion has performed very well. I am impressed with the performance using several thing's in the RV at one time, and the generator worked great. At our altitude of almost 6,500 ft high, reading the manual, stating every 1000 ft may interfere with the performance, but no problem. I purchased the generator for the fact that in the winter here in CO, have had my electric go out many hrs, this way I am prepared for next electrical outage also. Great feeling when one is older and lives alone, I now feel secure with owning my new Champion...thank You!

Bought this generator at an estate sale. Prior owners purchased at the start of the Covid shutdown, but never touched it. After downloading and reading the manual, filled it with oil & gas to run for the break-in period of 5 hours. Unit started on the 3rd pull. Noise was moderate/acceptable. Ran it for 2 hours initially. Waited a couple of weeks, then ran it for another 3 hours. Started right away, running flawlessly. Changing the oil wasn't bad although there is a frame component below the drain plug that can make things messy unless you angle the unit for the outflow to avoid it. I would have liked to have a whole-house unit, but I don't have natural gas service to my residence. Since most of the portable sized units don't have the running load capacity to handle the big ticket items - A/C, heater or grinder pump - I saw no need to get a higher output generator. This one will do fine to run the necessities - refrigerator, fans, TV and most importantly, my wife's cell phone charger!

Very easy to setup and use. Running on LP gas. Fired on first pull. Plenty of power for 38' camper. Ran roof top A/C, microwave, phone charger and lighting with no problem. Can barely hear running on back side of camper. About 15 feet from trailer. Camper plugs directly into generator without adapter. Very good unit so far. Thanks

This was a quick purchase to go on a short notice camping trip with a camper. The unit had plenty of power to run the AC, coffee maker and my wife's hair dryer at the same time using the propane option. I do not plan to use the gasoline option unless I have to. Convenient to store in the garage with no gasoline fumes. Pros: Plenty of power for any camper, inexpensive, duel fuel, optional wheel kit was simple installation. Cons: No hour meter, no option for NG, oil drain is right over frame. #sweepstakes

This generator works great for the price! We had 4 fans, 4 cell phones, 5 lamps, a freezer, and a refrigerator. Connected for 6 hours. The power came back on so I did not get the chance to us my skillet pan to cook. Hurricane Dorian caused the outage!
