Our air went out and it was going to be hot and humid the weekend before the service tech would be out. My mom has breathing issues, so I broke down and ordered this. Had to set it up in the kitchen as the living room and bedrooms did not have a three prong outlet, and also needed access to a window, but it worked. We had it in the kitchen, blowing into the living room, then a fan in the living room helping to circulate the air. It kept the temp down two or three degrees, which helped. Pricey, but so worth it. Our aid conditioner issues is finally fixed (after four service calls!) so I will be using this in our detached garage.

It cools most of my downstairs which is close to 800sqft, with walls separating the rooms. My living room stays nice and chill. Easy enough to install. A bit louder than I would want but it does such a good job, I can tone it out. A 4 star because its a bit loud.

I can not comment on how well it cools because we didnt get that far. The price was great so we bought it. Once we opened it it was a nice looking air conditioner but to large for the place we wanted to put it. We may have been able to work around that but for us the deal breaker was the tube that went to the window. It was way to short and window sealer kit wasnt sealing tightly where the air would still get in. We ended up returning it.

My husband and I bought this to take it on vacation with us. We needed it for our pets. Normally they are side pets but due to family members' allergies they had to stay in the garage. It was 95 degrees the whole time we were there but it was a nice 73 degrees in the garage for them. Without this they wouldn't have been able to come with us. It is slightly heavy to move in and out but it had wheels that make it easy to move around once it is on a solid surface. The controls are great and easy to use. The up and down oscillating feature is great! The only thing that I would have to say could be worked on is the drain plug. It could be angled a little to allow for easier draining. It isn't bad, I tip it to allow for to get empty. A definite great buy!

1 month in and it's still working perfectly. Since me and the hubby are home all day cuz of the virus we noticed are electric bill doubled. We now make sure everything is turned off when not in use and we no longer run the AC unit on the roof. Saved $150 the first month. We have a large master B/r and after errands and chores we retire to the b/r and enjoy a very cool room to watch the Evening news. We set it on 78° with the timer set to shut off at 3am. I'm sure we'll save even more in July and Aug. Made the leap to buy when it was on sale.

Good portable AC, it really is a life saver. I shopped around and this one seems to cool more square footage per room then the others. Easy set up and it has a dehumidifier. The only upside is that it's very sensitive. If you go near it, it will turn off. But otherwise just put it back on.

Bought this to replace our window unit that died. Does great at blowing cold air. One problem is the exhaust hose sits too low in our double hung window frame. Had to build up under it to eliminate gaps. Also, the actual outlet for the cold air blows upward, which doesn't work for our intended use.

This portable A/C has worked pretty well so far. My only problem with it is that when it reaches the desired temperature, it doesn't shut down like the central A/C in the rest of the house. The fan just runs and runs even on auto. It has to be manually turned off if you don't use the timer. If I didn't have sliding windows I might have been more inclined to a window unit that would have that feature. The price was about the same for a window unit of this size. This unit works good with the sliding window though and it can be rolled to a corner for storage this fall which is nice. I also would have liked to have a color option because I would have preferred a white unit.

But I must mention my bedroom is medium sized. I have high ceilings and slat windows from floor to ceiling. It is a little difficult to cool this type of room. I was going to seal off the the Other half of my windows but no need it keeps me plenty cool. I can still open the other windows on cool windy nights. Can't beat the sale price.

I received a defective unit. I installed it the next morning and it sounded like a vaccum cleaner. A loud buzzing noise and was not cooling. I called and got Ashley from Delonghi. Unit is less than one day old. So She told me they would send me another unit asap. She heard the unit and also agreed it was defective. Just to note this is my second unit. The first one is excellent.
