The box and everything was intact when it arrived via UPS. I hooked it all up, turned it on, half an hour later it shut down and the code came on for it to be emptied. It continues to do this, so I pulled the plug out, stuck a hose on it and drained it into a bucket, were it continuously drains and no longer shuts down. I have had portable A/C units in the past and never had a problem. I would not buy this brand again. Junk.

We ordered this unit and it did not arrive on date stated. Called Sams and was told that it was lost in shipment. (Could mean either a mix up or someone else was enjoying the use of it). They reshipped it and we have it and are enjoying on these hot days. I only wish that it had the real home comfort feature the 500 sq. ft. model has. When it reaches a certain point it will shut off and start again when needed.

Effectively cools a large well-insulated studio space with four windows above a two-car garage. Very pleased with purchase. An attractive alternative to a window unit that would detract from the outside appearance of a beautiful Georgian style brick garage.

Didn't cool at all. While I prefer this style unit, I ended up returning and getting a GE WiFi window unit which cools amazingly well. I don't know if I just had a dud or if there is a cooling problem, but live too far away from a Sams to try again.

We have a 400 square foot garage we turned into family room and this cools it nicely. I like the compressor turning off and on while the fan still runs that way there is not such an abrupt start when the compressor kicks back on. Very cold when turned down to 64 degrees.

Barely works, purchased as my house is less than 800 Square feet, I figured this would at least cool the room it was in more than 2 degrees after running for nine hours. Waiting for a call from the company as sams won't refund and says it their responsibility.

We bought this to cool our garage. We also bought a fan to place in front of the air conditioner vent and placed a large piece of cardboard on top to direct the cooled air towards the fan. It seems to work. Doesn't cool the entire 3 car garage but is adequate in cooling at least 1/2 of the garage. This air conditioner would probably be able to cool a bedroom with no problem.

Easy to assemble, fairly quiet compared to other units we have, the design is attractive and most importantly it cools well. We've only used it for 2 days so far. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Once we've had more use out of it I'll know better if it's deserving of that 5th star.

But I must mention my bedroom is medium sized. I have high ceilings and slat windows from floor to ceiling. It is a little difficult to cool this type of room. I was going to seal off the the Other half of my windows but no need it keeps me plenty cool. I can still open the other windows on cool windy nights. Can't beat the sale price.

I can not comment on how well it cools because we didnt get that far. The price was great so we bought it. Once we opened it it was a nice looking air conditioner but to large for the place we wanted to put it. We may have been able to work around that but for us the deal breaker was the tube that went to the window. It was way to short and window sealer kit wasnt sealing tightly where the air would still get in. We ended up returning it.
