Pretty cool for a portable room unit. Noise level is tolerable. In cooling mode, the temperature goes below 30 degrees. Not enough for a 1400+ sq. ft. room but it performs well nonetheless. Highly recommendable.

We brought this in case our air goes out in the house and when the electricity goes out, our generator is set to go and we can still have air. it puts out cold air, didn't take long for the room to cool off.

I have the less powerful model that cost $100 less. I thought this would be comparable. But this model doesn't have a timer and it runs much louder. I would buy the other model if given another chance. That being said, it functions, hence 3 stars.

Going from an 8000 to a 14000 BTU unit made all the difference. I have owned several DeLonghi products and have been happy with all of them. Easy to set up and uncomplicated.

The DeLonghi Pinguino 700 portable 14,000 BTU is an upgrade from our older DeLonghi 12,000 BTU model.We've been using it for a few months now and It by far is the best portable AC unit we've had. It keeps our house much colder than our older DeLonghi 12,000 BTU did.I have no regrets and highly recommend this portable AC unit for anyone in the market looking to buy one.I was lucky enough to find it on sale through Sam's club website.

Says it will cool 700 sq. feet but will not cool my 400 sq. ft. room to 85 degrees if it is 100 degrees outside. If it is over 100 degrees it will only cool to 90 to 92. I have a digital thermometer inside the room which I am getting my readings from. It helps but I did not think it should have a problem cooling to 85 degrees in a room that is nearly half the size of room that it claims to be able to cool. It is not noisy is the best thing I can say about it.

We bought this to use in our RV because the rear AC unit isn't functioning. We plan on having it repaired, but in the meantime, this unit will help cool the rear master bedroom. So far it works great and keeps the room at the desired setting. We will keep it to supplement the cooling effort of both AC's. I'd recommend this unit whether you are in an RV or in a house. The unit works great.

I've had it 2 weeks and used it several times. I found it difficult to get the hose assembled as you have to try and screw the hose to the window kit and adaptor for the connection to the air conditioner. I'm useing it in my mobile home which gets full sun all day and into the evening. The room it is in is an open floor plan so it may be too large for the air conditioner. It cools it but the coolest it gets is around 80 with the temp outside 92. It shut off today for no reason as it hadn't reached the set temperature so I waited a few minutes and turned it back on and has been running ever since. It had been running for 8 hours straight so that may have been why. I did not set in on timer so that is not the reason. I hope it is not going to have any problems down the road. I'm not sure I would buy it again.

Set up time was 30 minutes only due to the fact that my husband takes out all of the parts to make sure they're there and reads instructions. Unit blends. Very quiet! It takes out all the humidity out of the rooms. I would buy this product again. Shipping delivered on time.

Love this! Bought for our sunroom. It keeps it cool, now we can enjoy our sunrooom in the summer, too. You don't know it's own because it is so quite. I love coming into the sunroom now from outside because it cool and not hot anymore. So glad I found this while I was shopping at Sam's.
