We now have three of the Serta office chairs and they have lasted for years. We recently replaced a "gaming chair" for our teenage son as it broke. We decided not to make the same mistake and purchased this classically comfortable chair. He loves his new chair and has been quite a success with his gaming adventures. He just does it in more style and comfort now.

Great for the price, went together very easily. Three stars because there are adjustments for height, lock or spring loaded reclining and the tension on the spring. The angle of the seat and back is permanent, not adjustable and I found it to be a bit too straight with a gap in the lumbar. I put a small pillow in the gap, use it on spring recline and tightened the tension and am good to go. The chair it replaced was similar setting wise, but the fixed back had a slight angle that made it more comfortable. At this price, I would buy this chair again.

Overall a very nice chair! Putting it together was a bit of a struggle because one of the holes on the bottom of the seat didn't line up. We ended up having to drill a new hole but it works just fine! The arm rests were also a bit of a struggle to get all the way tightened.

Relatively easy to assemble. A comfortable, well made chair. Perhaps not enough spring tension on spring to control stiffness of recline. Somewhat disappointed that the chair comes with hard casters for carpeted floors. If you want the soft tread casters recommended by the manufacturer for hard floors. Would be better if you could choose a caster type when ordering.

This chair was on sale when I bought it ($99), great price for the item. After assembling it (pretty easy), I tested the seat - man is that really comfy!! The armrests are cushioned and well padded and the seat has a good spring to it! Best chair I've ever owned for that price!!

I really like this chair. I was hesitant because the cost was low and since I only had a picture to go by could not tell if the chair was worth the money. I was pleasantly surprised. The chair is very comfortable. I bought it so I could work at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have a very expensive office chair at work and it's not as comfortable as this chair. I only gave 4 stars because there is a very slight gap between the seat and the back of the chair. You only see it if you're looking at the chair and look down. It's distracting for me because I know it's there, but some people may not notice the gap. I took the chair apart 3x while I was putting it together and the gap is a defect, but if I wanted a perfectly aligned chair I would have bought one that was put together at the factory. That being said, I really love my chair. It's has a nice cushion without being too soft. The arm rails don't adjust, but there is plenty of room to move your elbows out of the way if you need to. Worth the money.

Previous office/gaming chairs I have owned have disappointed / failed early on. I’m a bit on the heavy side (pushing 220) and they just don’t stand up / last. The cushions / padding are the first things to go, then the structure. This Serta chair seems rock solid so far and I’m pleased and optimistic.

Our last computer chair was getting as old as I am! It was sagging and didn't have the support that one needs when playing a game or reading an online newspaper, doing tax back-up--long time sitting. This chair is upright, adjustable, comfy with lower back support and stylish--a plus.

It's a comfortable chair but putting the chair together was not easy. When you sit and lean back a bit it made a popping noise from underneath. I called their tech line which is what the instructions say to do if you have any issues and it took an hour of being on hold before I was able to speak to someone. They determined it the mounting plate which is what thought and mentioned. I was advised that they would send me a new plate and I would get email confirmation which took a week to get that email. At this point I still haven't received any replacement parts.

I am a medical student. When I purchased my old desk chair I went for an inexpensive option not realizing what an important investment an office chair really is especially for someone who sits at their desk nonstop. This chair is so comfortable and seems very durable. It has a wide range of heights which as someone who is short I appreciate. Definitely well worth the money.
