Easy to assemble, can be used as one tall rack or two individual racks, with one being shorter. Shelf is laminate, so it’s easy to wipe down. Put together in less than 10 minutes. No tools needed, although I did use a rubber mallet to make sure it was snug. Very light tapping did the trick.

kind of a pain in the rear to put together. but seem fairly sturdy. we screwed them to the walls so we won't have to worry about them coming apart (one little bump and they pop apart). Though we are getting more, we will just screw those to the wall too.

I have several of these shelving units and are very happy with them. Strong and easy to assemble. I found a rubber mallet helps a great deal during assembly. This was also the first time I had bought something online and had it delivered. That was painless, will consider Sam's when online shopping in future.

These shelves were very easy to put together with two people. Even with hammering the shelving in place, some still popped out but once items were placed on the shelves the weight kept the shelves in place. We bought shelves for our garage and basement. They worked well for both locations and can easily store heavy items like paint or tools.

Don't buy these. Hard to put together. Not sturdy or nice too look at. I would return these but since they are assembled I will keep them. The Member's Mark 5 shelf storage is a much much better shelf, easier to put together, looks better and well worth the extra $20.

We needed shelves for our detached garage and this shelf unit worked perfectly. I was able to put it together without help and once anchored to the wall it was very solid. I would definitely recommend it to other shoppers. I was also happy to see it was manufactured in Taiwan, not China. This was important to me.

Awfully flimsy construction - and the connection system is sketchy. After it's together it seems OK but isn't nearly as sturdy as the larger size unit. It would have really helped to have another person assisting with assembly but, one can do it with some patience.

Unit was difficult to build following instructions, although may have worked if two people assembled it. I built the upper section on top of the lower section. Four of the six shelves had slight damage. Since it is in the garage, that didn't bother me. Seems sturdy now that is built but I am going to buy furniture anchors to hold it securely against the wall. Be aware that the top section can only have two shelves, so all shelves cannot be evenly spaced.

I have purchased shelves similar to this from Sam's in the past. While the price is approximately the same as several years ago, the quality is not as sturdy as it was 5-7 years ago. The metal is thinner than in the past and the indent for the connection between the upper and lower vertical posts would be easier to slip and fall as opposed to the old end-to-end assembly. However, for relatively light-weight garage storage, it work fine. I tend to keep the heavier items on the lower shelves due to the concern the upper shelves may not support the weight due to the upper and lower vertical connection mentioned above.

I bought these specifically because it said no tools needed to assemble. (beside a rubber mallet). These are not easy to put together for one person. When you go to connect the opposite side after getting one side done it falls off. If you are able to get them all done & put in the place you want them…DO NOT try to move them because it will all come undone. They are fine with things on them once everything is in place & items put on them. Like I said just don’t move them. Lesson learned to not throw away the box before you are positive you don’t need to return something.
