A little difficult to do alone, but still a good shelf. The first one took me over an hour because if you put the top section together before trying to lift it and attach it to the lower section it come apart. I hammered down each piece and it made some pieces sturdy and secure but did nothing for others. I did get 2 shelves assembled by my self but it took a while and was frustrating.

Having assembled products for a living, I would say this is not the easiest to assemble when it comes to connecting the uprights to go the full 7 feet. If you’re using as two separate shelving units, it is quite easy. Once connected though, the unit is quite nice and sturdy, even more sturdy once weight is added to the shelves. Would buy again

Went together with minimal work. Getting the two sections to fit together securely took a little but it finally became one piece and is sturdy enough to hold empty canning jars, bottled water, liquid laundry detergent etc. It has really helped get my garage more organized and since things are more visible, I will have an easier time managing inventory.

Assembly was a little challenging as they want to pop apart in the middle, so it's a two person job if you don't want it to take 2 hours. We had 6 to assemble, so quickly found out that an extra set of hands made all the difference with assembly. Nice shelves. Sturdy, and I really like the shelf material. Much better than particle board.

This is my 3rd purchase of these storage racks over a span of 5 years. Earlier ones are still in use in an unfinished basement and show no deterioration. The current ones are in a newly constructed metal garage and will be used for storage of lawn and garden supplies. They are very similar to ones offered elsewhere for double the price, so they are a great bargain. That accounts for the 5 stars. However the shelf supports themselves seemed a bit more flimsy than in the past. But the standards and shelves seem to be the same gauge as before. It's good to have a helper when assembling them, especially when placing the top section in place. Small price to pay for such a fine value.

Might be OK if you could ever get to stay together. The short shelf support beams are to loose and hence the shelf supports fall out if you move it. There are a small subset that work somewhat. You can see that the supports are all the way down in the slot with no need for the rubber mallet the instructions call for.

This is my third Member's Mark 6-Shelf Storage Rack. They are easy to put up or take down and provide a huge amount of space. I have one in my pantry. It is in the upright configuration and provides a space for my pantry items. The second one is in my barn storage area. I have it divided into two 3 shelf units and use it for my small farm tools. The third will be used for starting my vegetables for my garden and for selling at the farmers' market. If you need good storage for a low price, don't hesitate to pick up one or more of there units.

Hard to put together due to gauge of steel being to thin. Especially hard putting the two vertical rails together to make full height. I have it up but the connections between the vertical rails aren't correct. My years earlier shelving purchase of a Gorilla rack didn't have these issues.

Bought this design specifically because it looked very adjustable to fit different size boxes and totes. The actual method of the pieces locking together and then stacking are counter productive. The main support system between the two levels is pathetic and dangerous!

SO hard to put together. I think you should have 3 people to put it together. As so as you get one side put together, the other side falls apart. Many strong words were used. It took my husband and I an hour to assemble and we’re handy - we remodeled an entire kitchen, so we’re not rookies. Once it was together, I assume it’ll hold everything as advertised. It works, but I won’t buy another one.
