I wouldn't if I were you

I bought a few of these to help organize my garage, and am returning 2 of them. Should be 3 but I already have it assembled after much frustration and a lot of screaming. The instructions show you just tap the pieces in with a mallet, but that doesn't work at all since they always pop out. I assembled 1 by myself, which was a nightmare. Then trying to assemble another one with help, I just gave up because no matter what I did, it wouldn't stay in. I thought about investing in super glue, but it won't work on metal. Then even debated metal glue that takes time to cure, and soldering the pieces together. It just doesn't work and I'm disappointed in them as a whole.

You need to know what you are doing before buying

These are NOT fool-proof like other more expensive shelves. The issue is the joint of the beams, which normally requires two person to put together. Hence, you get what you paid for. However, It is cheap, especially in the post-covid world we are living in. It's very tall and offers 6 shelves. I have bought 8+ of these and will keep buying for light to medium boxes.

New design

We’ve bought this set of shelves before they redesigned it. The new design now has a difficult to manage splice midway up the shelves. It’s kind of a lap joint that doesn’t want to stay together during assembly. Go for the more heavy duty version (and slightly more expensive) of the Members Mark shelving unit.

Not thrilled

Very few of the shelf support brackets "clicked" into place and remained in place, if I moved it, they would come unfastened. I finally had to build it in place, once the shelves were installed, it seemed to hold the support brackets in place. I do believe it will stay together when loaded but worried if I pick it up to move it to a new location, it could fall apart. Will not buy another one of these. This is my first negative review ever.

Poor design. Poor quality.

Sooooheavy I bought it had to be good. Nope! The notches for shelves to sit in are not snug enough… just adding a shelf forces others to pop out… even after hitting with mallot. Don’t even think of moving it… one piece lifts… they all lift. And… any weight on the shelf then displaces distribution and stability is challenged. On the positive… if you just want to look at it, not use it, or move it… it’s a very pretty shelving unit.

Horrible

This shelf if flimsy and there is no way you can put the upper section onto the lower. We almost sliced off fingers just getting the top part of the legs set on the bottom. With no weight on it. Worst design for assembling the shelf vertically ever. Now I have two low shelves that don’t hold much.

safety hazard, flimsy, unstable

Ordered 4, so flimsy, took 3 to hold pieces to put together. Metal bracket warped so side keeps collasping. Dismantling and returning as there is little doubt that these will collaspse at some point and the potential injury to children, adults and pets would be devasting. Contacted member services for return options...was disconnected aka "hung up" before I was done explaining the issue.

Not the same quality as sold previously.

All components and details on the current model in stores are more poorly designed and constructed of flimsier material than on the similar shelving units sold a few years ago. I do not recommend buying these until an upgrade is made. The horizontal supports for shelf boards are thin and flexible. The shelves are too small for a secure fit. The vertical bar pieces stack together very tenuously. And the pin-and-keyhole connections to join horizontal and vertical components are poor fits. Sam’s Club should consider recalling these and restocking with better quality.

Cheaper than cheap

I have an engineering degree and I have never put such terrible made assembly together. I believe the tabs are suppose to snap a different lock in the grooves. The grooves are oversized so assembling this unit is like trying to juggle six balls at once. Definitely a two person job. I bought this for my winter home and would of returned it if I didn't need to leave the next day. Would not sell this my rival

Save your money

After looking at the display I bought this unit. Got it home and started to assemble only to find out once put the brackets in the corner pieces they’re not very secure. Once I got to shelves in, thinking this would make it more sturdy , it didn’t help. The unit is so wobbly that I decided to just take it back.
