This is the fourth of these shelves I have purchased. I bought the first three in Virginia about 15 years ago for garage storage. We moved them to Florida 8 years ago for same purpose. Then when my husband died five years ago, I downsized but still need garage storage.I just bought a fourth shelf that my son assembled that I will use in my garage and my storage closet for luggage. They are very sturdy and hold a lot.

Very satisfied with shelf unit. The only issue is assembly is definitely a two person job. Once you figure out how to keep the various bars and brackets in place while assembling things go quickly. Everything snaps together pretty easily, but you will need a hammer to tap the bars down to be sure they are locked. Once assembled, the unit is extremely sturdy and seems to be as strong as claimed. Ours is currently holding a LOT of large boxes of hardcover novels, and no sag, not rickety, solid value!

Overall, I am happy with the purchase. 5 of the shelves had chipping damage on the corners from shipping but I was just able to flip the shelves so they weren't visible. The unit is very sturdy but the instructions are very specific on how to stack the units while assembling. But, like I initially stated, I am happy with my purchase overall.

Not as sturdy as you would think. The sides of the shelves keeping popping up until you get an actual board on then they stay in place better. Still pop up some but not as bad. Very wobbly moving it towards the wall but seems to do the job when you load it up.

These shelves are quite sturdy and offer a lot of storage for the price. I've used others to add storage inside closets, and we are using our most recent purchase to start seedlings, hanging inexpensive LED light tubes under the shelves...it is working really well!

This storage rack is Ok. We had trouble putting it together since it doesn't have a connector between the top and bottom standards. You just put a shelf at the place where the top and bottom standards meet, so, when you press down on the shelves to get the brackets in place, the brackets come out. Once they are assembled they seem fine and can stand a lot of weight.

Seems Sam's Club changed the supplier on the 5 shelf heavy storage shelve. This new version is awesome. It now comes with connectors fitting both halves (top & nottom) which makes assembly much faster and easier (the first two I bought didn't). Even better, the depth of shelf is 2+1/2 feet (30 inches); and the rivets (for assembling the stud bolts for shelving) are now inside (hidden after final assembly). Excellent changes for much improvement. Delivery was 1 day earlier than projected. Highly recommend this product.

Sturdy once completely put together. It is not heavy but it is much easier with two people to put together. Make sure you have enough space to put together as this is a tall rack. Gives enough space for whatever you want to organize and keep on the shelves.

Bought this on the one day member sale online. When I received it the box was smashed up and couldn't get anyone on the phone in regards to this problem. When opened the shelves were broken on one corner. Still works but not happy. I have looked at the boxes in the store and they're the same. So be very leary when purchasing.

Will probably be a decent shelf for the money. It was inexpensive. Putting this thing together was not easy and it made me question my purchase. You need to have a lot of patience assembling this unit as it was way harder than it needed to be and the instructions left a lot to be desired.
