Purchased a similar unit about 4 years ago, from same store and it was constructed much better. On the old unit the shelf rails fit tightly into the legs, this unit the shelf rails are loose and it was difficult to assemble. The unit got a little sturdier when the shelves were installed.

These shelves are quite sturdy and offer a lot of storage for the price. I've used others to add storage inside closets, and we are using our most recent purchase to start seedlings, hanging inexpensive LED light tubes under the shelves...it is working really well!

Will probably be a decent shelf for the money. It was inexpensive. Putting this thing together was not easy and it made me question my purchase. You need to have a lot of patience assembling this unit as it was way harder than it needed to be and the instructions left a lot to be desired.

Seems Sam's Club changed the supplier on the 5 shelf heavy storage shelve. This new version is awesome. It now comes with connectors fitting both halves (top & nottom) which makes assembly much faster and easier (the first two I bought didn't). Even better, the depth of shelf is 2+1/2 feet (30 inches); and the rivets (for assembling the stud bolts for shelving) are now inside (hidden after final assembly). Excellent changes for much improvement. Delivery was 1 day earlier than projected. Highly recommend this product.

Bought this last month to replace shelves that were crumbling. So spacious......the stuff that was on two bookcase like shelves fit on one! May order more in the future. Only complaint was box was heavy and delivery guy must have dropped it cause the corners were cracked, but that has nothing to do with the product.

It looked like a previous shelf i had bought several years ago from Sam’s However metal legs and shelves and fiberboard are flimsy thinner cheaply made None of the shelves snapped into place, they would come out of the keylock holes causing it to collapse many times Even the plastic covers for the legs are cheapo thin I assembled and was really afraid it would collapse when I was trying to position it Its in position and supported all that i have placed on shelves

Exactly what i needed, these are nice and sturdy, and they would have cost 200 for all the wood to build one equivalent shelf. Was able to put them together by myself, but it would have been easier with some help. I love that they can easily be taken down and reused somewhere else. Wooden shelves are such a pain to deal with, because you cant easily move them when they are 80 inches tall, while these pop apart in 25 minutes. Took about 2 hours to assemble then both

I could only get the bottom four feet of this assembled by myself. It took a lot of time due to complexity of trying to get it to stay together while I was putting the next shelf on. I ended up not using the top two feet since by this time I had spent 4 hours on assembly, and did not want to get a ladder to put on the top two feet of shelves. I would not purchase again. The bottom does seem sturdy once I placed things on it. I hope it holds up well in an outdoor storage shed since the shelves are pressed board, and one of the corners was broken off, which makes it a good thing I did not use the top part and had an extra shelf.

Very sketchy unit, opposite of the deeper 5 shelf from the same company. I also have the 24” deep 5 shelf unit by the same company and the difference is night and day. This one is hazardous to put together without a helper. The way the upper and lower portion fit together is scary and a royal pain to get correct. I did get it put together and have a decent amount of weight on it but distributed the bulk of the weight across the lower section. I don’t know how they determine the weight limit for each shelf but I certainly would not want to be within 500’ of this thing when someone attempts the kind of weight it is rated for. To give some perspective...most people say I am extremely handy, this is certainly not my first shelf that I have assembled. I generally build my own as furniture making is a hobby. With the price of lumber up 200% and the fact that I have the other unit that is excellent, I decided to try this one for a quick solve. It is partially working but I will need to brace it and attach to wall studs for any confidence in its weight capacity.

Sturdy shelves and holds pretty well, only downside is that the long rails running across the front are flimsy and things get caught when pulling stuff out of the shelves.When moving the shelves recommend having two people since unit does not have a good lock system. I paid $75.
