Showed up when I was coming home and the ups guy put them on my porch ! Boxes were taped together and ripped enough for me to see the the selves were damaged ! Looked like they were in the back of the warehouse for years touched the box and hands we’re dirty! Called told me they don’t have any left, I could keep at a lower price or send them back !sent them back went into store that next week and they had ten sitting there in perfect shape! Of course not on sale anymore! Will never order from them again online they send you that kind of product

I debated about buying this shelving unit after reading other people's reviews. I decided to order it, because it was exactly the size and height i wanted for my garage. I also knew that if i didn't like it i could return it to the local store and get my money back. I put it together by my self, I'm 59 yr. old women and it was not bad at all. I would buy again or recommend this to a friend, it is a great price for what you get.

The metal is very thin and flexes badly when you are attempting to assemble the unit. We have 4 other sets of other brand shelves and I did not have any problem doing them alone. A big part of the problem with these is that the assembly points that are to be tapped in with a hammer are so loose that there is not "tapping together" that holds. My wife and I finally got this set put together but the shelves kept coming apart as we went. Would have been better if there had been a third person to hold together what we had already done. This was our second set because the first set came missing parts. When we called we were told that we would have to file a warranty claim and that we should have the parts in 4-6 weeks. We elected to take them back to Sam's (50 miles each way) and exchange them. If I had realized how poor the quality was I would have simply gotten my money back at that point.

I feel the quantity of the steel got reduced compared to previous years. The frame feels shady, thus the two parts (upper & lower body frames) are difficult to be joined. They should have increased the price a bit instead of lowering down the quality.

Not the quality of other racks I have purchased elsewhere. Using a shelve to attach the two upright sections is not as secure as using a sleeve that is provided with other racks. Only bought this from Sams because the others weren’t available due to COVID.

Already had some of these, so it was an easy decision to buy more. The shelves themselves are smooth and strong. A bit of a challenge to assemble by myself, but lie that the only tool was a rubber mallet. No hardware to break or get lost. My older ones have held up well for 7-8 years, expect these to last even longer.

I am using this in a storeroom to hold books and miscellany equipment and boxes. I set up shelf spacing to accommodate different heights. Top shelf is a reach and in hindsight I could have used the shorter model with one less shelf. Happy with this one, though.

Getting started with the first shelf you really need help, also with the upper half, help is also needed. I used hand clamps to help, everything else was a piece of cake. Once assembled, they were solid and I was very pleased with the out come, plus the pricing couldn't be better.

I had assumed the horizontal shelf support rails would have at least friction locked into the vertical corner angle rails. Wrong. They just kind of “sit” in the keystone slots in the verticals. Even when fully assembled with the weight of the shelves helping, the ONLY way you can move the unit is by the vertical corner angle rails. Any attempt to pick up the unit by a shelf or shelf rail just disconnects the shelf rail! And that doesn’t even begin to describe the issues connecting the upper section to the lower section. There is only the slightest overlap between the upper and lower vertical rails, and even if you manage to get the upper section in the right position (five people required - one on each vertical and one more to complete the top to bottom connections) person 5 still needs to manage to nudge the non-locking horizontal shelf support rails into the non locking keystone slots to prevent the entire upper section from falling to pieces. Sounds like junk? It is! Spend just a few more bucks and get a metro-wire style shelf unit (round verticals with open grid shelves that really lock on to the verticals). Better still, buy a genuine US Metro Wire unit that will last forever and run away from this useless junk. PS - if you elect to have it shipped, don’t be surprised if the packaging arrives virtually destroyed with parts falling out of the boxes. The three I ordered all arrived that way (and no response when I reported it). Your mileage may vary ...

I’m torn about this review. The shelves With a solid shelf to work with for storage is great. The down side is that the assembly was difficult and took quite some time. The holes Did not align properly and we really had to Struggle and use force to get the top section on. It’s working well for what I wanted it for
