These are absolute garbage for several reasons. 1. They are not solid shelves. They are frame brackets and an insert that sits on top of them. 2. They the brackets do not lock in. They feel like they snap into place, but it takes very little for them to pop out. 3. They must be perfect level or the whole unit wants to fall apart. I didn't pour my garage floor. Unfortunately it is not completely level. Since the shelves are brackets and not solid shelves, then the whole thing wants to come unfastened if its out of level. I have 2 levels on this thing and have shimmed and leveled to no avail. The brackets pop out constantly making it impossible to level it. 4. The setup to attach the top brackets to the bottom is a hazard. It just sets on there. They claim 600lbs per shelf. If you put 1200 lbs on those top shelves you may as well make funeral plans. The setup is horrible and is going to come crashing down on you. I think the only thing I could recommend these shelves for is a linen closet or laundry room to stack your towels, sheets, and toilet paper. This was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent.

I was shopping for the solid posts shelving which was out of stock by the time I signed into Sam’s sale. This one was available for the same price so went ahead and ordered it. It’s not as attractive as the other one but identical in other aspects. Easy assembly, sturdy solid shelves, can use it horizontally as well as vertically.

I ordered 3 of these this time. While I have not had the time to assemble them yet, they appear to be identical to one I have had in service for several years. That one has been loaded with boxes of heavy books on the bottom half and boxes of household items on the top half. There are no voids on any shelf. Recently I relocated it with no problems. No sags or breaks! My only caution, and thus the rating, is that especially the first time it is assembled you may have a rather steep learning curve. Attention to every detail is crucial. A connection that fails to seat completely is a headache later.

When they arrived, they seemed flimsy. Check al of your pieces to make sure nothing is bent because they bend easily until it's all put together. They aren't really very easy to put together and it is a must to have at least 2 people to hold the pieces together on one end while the other holds together pieces on the other side. It would have really been better with 3 or 4 people. Once they're put together, they are pretty sturdy. We're using them to hold extra food items in storage.

Difficult to assemble alone but it does clearly say two people. Once it comes together if you don’t move it it’s great. I have other shelves that once the braces are in the slot, they have a bit of interference to keep them there. Not so here, they come apart easily with a little twist. Once loaded seems to be much more stabile.

I ordered these online and picked them up in club. Packages were all in great shape and all pieces were there. Easy to put together, it took me about a half hour by myself and 10 minutes with my girlfriend helping. It is great quality and very stable.

I bought 2 of these for my storage room. Both arrived with the boxes so taped up they had obviously been returned previously. The boxes were beat up to the point that the shelves and all of the parts spilled out as I tried to move them into the house. I would have returned them but the shelves themselves were in OK condition and were so heavy that I didn't want to haul them back to Sam's. Will consider before I order something like this from Sam's again.

We reorganized our garage and needed shelving units to store boxes. I had purchased similar units from Sam's about a year ago and they have worked out nicely. These are similar: they are easy to put together and look good. I can't believe how affordable these are! I purchased online and picked up at the store. Great buy!

I could only get the bottom four feet of this assembled by myself. It took a lot of time due to complexity of trying to get it to stay together while I was putting the next shelf on. I ended up not using the top two feet since by this time I had spent 4 hours on assembly, and did not want to get a ladder to put on the top two feet of shelves. I would not purchase again. The bottom does seem sturdy once I placed things on it. I hope it holds up well in an outdoor storage shed since the shelves are pressed board, and one of the corners was broken off, which makes it a good thing I did not use the top part and had an extra shelf.

Nice shelves but they must have cut back on the thickness of the materials. It calls for a rubber mallet to tap the shelves down and in place. My set didn’t need any tapping in place. Once together, it’s still a nice set of shelves. I like the option of taking the top half and putting it next to the bottom part.
