Easy assembly

Bought this last month to replace shelves that were crumbling. So spacious......the stuff that was on two bookcase like shelves fit on one! May order more in the future. Only complaint was box was heavy and delivery guy must have dropped it cause the corners were cracked, but that has nothing to do with the product.

Nice Shelving

Nice quality racking. I have it installed around the wall of my garage. It takes up little floor space and still provides lots of storage space. It makes it much easier to organize things in the garage and the result looks a lot better. These shelves are strong enough to hold almost anything you would want to put on them.

Do NOT buy online!!!

Purchased one in store and loved it, purchased 2 more of the exact same shelf, same product number, and they are terrible cheap junk. We ended up having to weld them together to get them to work. We should have just taken them back but we are 2 hours from a store and in the middle of a project. Do yourself a favor and get these in store only.

Disappointing- Very thin metal

I own 22 sets of similar shelves purchased over a 20 year period from Sam's Club. Every newer version gets flimsier. Some of these shelves I have moved several times. I have NEVER needed any help to assemble. These required an extra pair of hands. The vertical supports are in two sections and are joined together by one set of the shelf supports. The biggest problem is the rivets. The instructions indicate that you will need a mallet to tap the pieces together. Not so! They are so loose that they just fall together, and just as easily fall apart! Very frustrating to assemble, and as I said, I have assembled many similar sets of shelving. Make sure that you assemble this VERY close to where you want it, as it will be very difficult to move, as it will just fall apart. Once assembled and positioned, the shelf is just adequate. I was able to place it next to another, better, shelf and bolted them together to provide some stability. I cannot image loading these to even 1/3 of the rated capacity. I will not buy any more of these. I suggest that Sam's Club find another vendor/manufacturer to provide higher quality shelves. I would pay more for better quality.

Very sturdy and strong item

Overall, I am happy with the purchase. 5 of the shelves had chipping damage on the corners from shipping but I was just able to flip the shelves so they weren't visible. The unit is very sturdy but the instructions are very specific on how to stack the units while assembling. But, like I initially stated, I am happy with my purchase overall.

Excellent frame but not the best shelving

Excellent quality of framing for this shelving, but the shelves are a bit questionable for they are not very durable as they began to chip and peel the surface covering from out of the box and it’s not very good for the showing of how it is going to be long term! I’ll probably replace with some new better quality wood for the durability instead of press board stuff!

Flimsy imitation of good shelving.

Material is too thin. Rivets don't wedge into post slots securely so usually come out and need to be pushed back in while putting other rivets into slots. Rivets should require pounding in with rubber mallet to hold securely during assembly, but these you easily slide in with bare hands and just as easily they slide out when putting other rivets into slots.

Did what I needed

I am using this in a storeroom to hold books and miscellany equipment and boxes. I set up shelf spacing to accommodate different heights. Top shelf is a reach and in hindsight I could have used the shorter model with one less shelf. Happy with this one, though.

Easy to assemble not crazy about the connection

Strong east to assemble not crazy about the connection between the top and bottom sections. Just stacking them isn't very strong. Since the side supports have two "buttons" to lock in the shelves, we put one button on the top section and one on the bottom. Use tape or clamps to hold the sections during assembly. Not a one person job. Very strong once assembled. Three shelves were cracked and all corners were damaged probably during shipment. A phone call to Sam's got me a 10$ credit. Might be better to get at the store to ensure no damage.

Flimsy and takes at least 2 people to assemble

The metal is very thin and flexes badly when you are attempting to assemble the unit. We have 4 other sets of other brand shelves and I did not have any problem doing them alone. A big part of the problem with these is that the assembly points that are to be tapped in with a hammer are so loose that there is not "tapping together" that holds. My wife and I finally got this set put together but the shelves kept coming apart as we went. Would have been better if there had been a third person to hold together what we had already done. This was our second set because the first set came missing parts. When we called we were told that we would have to file a warranty claim and that we should have the parts in 4-6 weeks. We elected to take them back to Sam's (50 miles each way) and exchange them. If I had realized how poor the quality was I would have simply gotten my money back at that point.
