Customer reviews for Lifetime Adventure Tower Swing Set Playset forHorrible Ladder
The kids love the set, but the ladder is dangerous. The arch is too high and it's hard for them to get their footing. I would never let a child climb up this ladder without adult supervision. We took it off and built our own that is Safe for children. Would not recommend buying this.
Love it! Quality set! Great directions! Well made!
We bought this playset in store at Sam's Club (April 2017). We had read a lot of reviews and were debating between this and some of the similar cedar sets (at Sam's Club and other stores) which were similar size and similar priced or a little smaller/cheaper. We ended up going with this set because it looked well made, would be sturdier than the similar cedar sets, less maintenance with no staining, should hold up better in our winters than cedar, is large enough for our kids to enjoy it beyond just their toddler years, can handle two kids swinging at the same time without it the whole set shaking, and seemed like a good value for the money. We are so glad we made the right decision and got this one!! All of those things are true so far! Our kids and their friends love it! They love the rock walls, tower, area underneath, hanging bar, swings, and the long slide! It took my father-in-law and I 9 hours 45 minutes to put it all together (with some time in there to level it all out and remove some sod). Not bad. Based on other reviews I was hoping that we could do it in between 9-10 hours, but also read some where it took them much longer, so I was happy with our time. If you are at all handy and can follow directions, I'm sure you can put it all together in around the same time frame. I give Lifetime a whole lot of credit for making the assembly as easy as possible. The directions were easy to follow with step-by-step instructions, and the parts that were organized and easy to identify (and all there!). The extra bag of misc. hardware was also nice since I lost a bolt/nut or two in the grass. I included a picture of some of the hardware packages that were included. The instructions for each section told you which package to grab and the parts that you would need. It made it so easy to know you were using the right bolts/nuts/screws with the right parts for each section. That planning really impressed me. Also, it seems like good quality hardware that will keep hold up well and keep the playset together tightly for years to come. We are really happy with this set and so glad that we chose it! Our kids are even more happy! I'll admit it was a little more than I planned to spend when we decided we'd get a playset, but I'm confident for all the reasons above that it will be well worth it! Highly recommended!!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! I'm sure you and your family will enjoy the set for many years to come!<br />- Lifetime Reviews Team (reviews@lifetime.com)
Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought one of these sets last year for Christmas, thinking that our grandson who is 18 months old would have to wait a while to play on it, not a chance, he is already climbing and sliding like a pro. He has so much fun on it he doesn't want to leave when it's time to go home. We simply love it.
Best climber for the money!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this climber a little over a year ago and love it so much! My boys love the car tracks built in and the rock wall. We swapped the swing with the trapeze bar to allow for a drive thru store:)
Bad weather and a helping hand
I erected this product and it was a great play structure for my kids and their friends. A few months later we had severe weather and extremely strong winds. The winds picked this up a carried it nearly 100 feet before placing it not so gently back on the ground on its side. (I did not have it anchored properly). I got online and found the parts list I needed and called customer service. I was connected to a very helpful lady that was very patient with me. She done a wonderful job putting together the order I need to replace the bent parts. I was extremely happy with this product and the customer service Lifetime provided me. I will purchase more products from Lifetime in the future not only because I think this product is quality but as important the lady in customer service was so pleasant to work with. 5 star product 5 star customer service. Thank you
Strong and Well Made
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this playset about 6 years ago. Its been great for our kids to play on. They have loved climbing and swinging for years. Recently we had a very bad 90 MPH windstorm that picked up the entire playset (which wasn't anchored down) about 10ft in the air and dropped it on top of our trampoline (which was anchored down). After the wind died down the next day, we assessed the damage. To our surprise and relief, the play-set had held together. The sing part of the frame was a bit tweaked, but easily straightened out. Unfortunately, we can't say the same for our new trampoline. Thank you Lifetime for making a very well built and durable product!!! Our kids were very happy that they can still enjoy their play-set. Its now anchored down with 3 cemented tie downs so this doesn't happen again. To anyone looking at buying one, don't hesitate, they will last a "Lifetime".
Terrible packaging quality.
First let me say now that it's FINALLY together it's the best swing set. Now to the awful part. When you buy it, pay someone else to deal with the company's horrible packaging and mistakes. First, the boxes and marked 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3. Nothing about a 4th piece which is the slide. So when you buy it, insist you get all pieces. The slide is NOT in the 3 boxes. Now open the boxes and instructions. The instructions say things are marked with letters. It would make life so much easier if they were. Only about 10% were marked and they were the parts that were obvious. My husband who assembles things all time, started struggling through it, but we were following directions to a "t". When we got to part of step 3, we realized we were sent two swing poles instead of 1 swing pole and 3 regular poles. It was a nightmare. It was too late to try and take apart so we ended up drilling holes to make it work. The roof didn't fit right but we finally made a way to make it work. Based on that whole experience I wouldn't recommend anything from Lifetime unless it comes with professional installation. Now that it's together, it's solid and we are happy, but not worth the tears we cried or getting injured over fighting to get things to fit.
We are so sorry for the problems you experienced while you assembled your playset. We've sent your suggestions to our quality department so we can make these changes.
Great product and the kids love it. Easy instructions but it did take about 6hrs for 2 of us to build. The shipping was terrible though. Swing set was supposed to be deliver Feb 10th but came the 18th and was missing the slide. I called Lifetime directly and they were very nice but slide didn't arrive until March 2nd
Rusted and ruined in no time!
I bought this play set thinking metal would endure better than wood! I was sorely mistaken! The whole thing is rusting at all the critical joints making it beyond a safety hazard and the warranty conveniently does not cover rust! I live in Kansas so it isn't even like we are an intensely humid climate or overly rainy. Magnificent waste of money and will NEVER purchase from the company again!
We're so sorry to hear that it rusted so quickly! Please reach out to us at reviews@lifetime.com with your product and contact information as well as pictures of the rust.
Thankful for this purchase!
We just bought this set and our kids love it! We bought it during the COVID-19 social distancing time, so delivery was just offered at the end of the driveway with one man removing it from the large truck. As far as assembly, it takes a while, so be prepared! It took 3 days total, but working about 2-3 hours each of those 3 days...but it was worth it. The kids love the swings, slide, and monkey bars. I can even stand straight in the tower (I'm 5'4”). We are very happy with our purchase and I would recommend it. I may look at purchasing the stabilizer set in the future.
