Customer reviews for Lifetime Adventure Tower Swing Set Playset forI need customer service assistance, but no info!
I bought this tower approximately a month ago, and have not quite finished the assembly. Before I even got it all together, the roof panels which I installed have torn out at the assembly points. I now have a tower with multiple panels that are not usable. I am more than a little upset that these panels disintegrate at the holes where they bolt together. The rest of the playset seems like a quality product, but there are no places to anchor this system to the ground - and in Colorado, I find that worrisome as well. I would appreciate contact from customer service for the Lifetime company! I do not currently recommend this product, but may if I can get the necessary pieces to fix this replaced.

Great playset
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great playset that we will likely enjoy for a long time. The installation process was long and tedious. I recommend watching the videos even if the written directions seem straightforward. We found that there is information in the videos that is not in the written directions. (such as where the swing bar is located in relation to the other parts while building the tower). There were also 2-3 places where the written directions had mistakes and called for the wrong hardware and caused some frustration, but we were able to figure it out with some logic and the help of the video. My only dislike of this playset is the ladder. The arch and distance between rungs is not safe for younger children. The top of the ladder is especially hazardous as the child is stepping from the ladder to the tower. The gap between the top rung of the ladder and the tower is very large. A child could easily fall right through it if they slipped or misjudged the distance. I realize every activity has inherent risk, but they could easily make the rungs closer together, re-engineer the ladder to be steps, or a variety of other safer options. I'd love to see Lifetime offer an aftermarket addition to the ladder to improve the safety. In general, this ladder is not up to par on quality compared to typical Lifetime products.
Sam's Club version is different than regular model
The Sam's Club Adventure Tower is not the same model you get when you purchase one from other retail outlets. The Sam's Club version has a flimsy roof which is made from lighter, thinner material. Also, the long metal poles must be manually spliced together on the Sam's Club model whereas they come in one continuous piece on a non-Sam's Club model.
Unique Design
I have had the system in my backyard for about a month and it is a big hit my kids and the kids in the neighborhood. It looks different from any other system out there. I really like the metal and plastic that won't cause splinters and won't rot like wood systems will. Also it is low upkeep (no staining or sanding or anything like that). One small complaint on the two climbing walls is the transition between the wall and the deck. It is a bit of a reach for my 3 year old to grab onto something to get up to the deck. My 5 year old can do it just fine. The kids really like the "fort" underneith and matchbox car city molded into the deck.
Son loves it. Couldn't ask for better quality.
When the crate was delivered I was a little set back on how many pieces. However, the directions were easy to follow and with the help of my girlfriend we were able to put the set together over the weekend. When son came around the corner of the house to the back yard he made a bee line to the swings and had a grand time. We are very happy with the set and to see such a smile on our son is well worth the weekend work of putting it together.
Rusting to pieces
Out playset has been installed for 1 year and 3 months and is rusting to pieces that we can no longer use the upper portion of the tower. The warranty is 5 years, but funny how it does not cover "rusting". I find it very odd that this portion of the tower is rusting, because it is the least exposed to the elements. However, the floor bracing has snapped in 2 places. It has to be a defect in the paint, material or manufacture. The remainder of the set has no rust? However, becase the parts rusted, it is not covered by the warranty. What a shame. I plan to avoid future lifetime purchases, because they just dont last. Especially in Florida.
Oh no! We are sorry to hear that you have had some rust on your playset. Reach out to us at reviews@lifetime.com and we'll see what we can do.
Great Playset for the price
Great set for the money. Took me 11 hours to install by myself. 2 guys could do it in 8 hours easily. A couple of tips. 1. Unpack everything and get it organized first. 2. Find the instructions and immediately throw them away. Go to the Lifetime website and download the correct instructions. They send outdated instructions in their kits with wrong part numbers. 3. Before inserting bolts, test connect them with the corresponding nut. Many damaged threads had to be corrected.
Hours of Fun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this playset last year and it has provided hours of fun for our boys ages 6 and 4! The playset itself is very sturdy and my husband said it wasn't hard to put together! We also love the no maintenance part of this playset! I would definitely recommend this!
Outstanding Quality!
The quality of this product is outstanding and our girls 2-8 love it. Â The clubhouse is a great size for multiple kids to interact on the top and bottom at the same time. Â This set is going to look brand new for years to come - unlike the wood sets that way too many people buy!
Best for Price
I bought this playset last week. Knowing I was going to assemble it alone, I wasnt sure how long it would take. I always do my research before buying, and decided this playset was the best for the price at Sams ($998), and thought it would last longer and be less maintenance in the long run. Well I was able to do it all myself, except the roof. Its a bit heavy and too large for one person to lift it 10 feet in the air and hold it while screwing in the bolts. The project took me a total of 10 hours to build. Which I was expecting to take longer. The manual provided was easy to follow as long as you dont skip steps. Im the type that lays everything out before assembly, but with this playset the boxes are numbered and all parts required for the steps are in corresponding boxes. So basically its already layed out for you. The playset is extremely durable, exceeding my expectations. Im a large guy at 6 ft 245lbs and I can attest to the strength of this unit. I have utilized the swings myself to test this, and also sat on the floor while assembling the roof without issues. I expect that this will last for at least 10 years. I live in FL but doubt the rain will be an issues since its made of durable plastic and coated metal. Overall very impressed with the playset and of course the kids and all the neighbors kids love it.Note to the one that is assembling this. I put the entire frame together in my garage since it was raining, then carried the tower frame out to my back yard followed by the swing extension frame. So yet it can be built in a 2 car garage and then transported in pieces. Dont hesitate to buy this set, it wont disappooint.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! I'm glad the playset is working so well for you and your family, and I have no doubt it will last you many years to come!- Lifetime Reviews Team (reviews@lifetime.com)
