Son loves it. Couldn't ask for better quality.

When the crate was delivered I was a little set back on how many pieces. However, the directions were easy to follow and with the help of my girlfriend we were able to put the set together over the weekend. When son came around the corner of the house to the back yard he made a bee line to the swings and had a grand time. We are very happy with the set and to see such a smile on our son is well worth the weekend work of putting it together.

Rusting to pieces

Out playset has been installed for 1 year and 3 months and is rusting to pieces that we can no longer use the upper portion of the tower. The warranty is 5 years, but funny how it does not cover "rusting". I find it very odd that this portion of the tower is rusting, because it is the least exposed to the elements. However, the floor bracing has snapped in 2 places. It has to be a defect in the paint, material or manufacture. The remainder of the set has no rust? However, becase the parts rusted, it is not covered by the warranty. What a shame. I plan to avoid future lifetime purchases, because they just dont last. Especially in Florida.

Great Playset for the price

Great set for the money. Took me 11 hours to install by myself. 2 guys could do it in 8 hours easily. A couple of tips. 1. Unpack everything and get it organized first. 2. Find the instructions and immediately throw them away. Go to the Lifetime website and download the correct instructions. They send outdated instructions in their kits with wrong part numbers. 3. Before inserting bolts, test connect them with the corresponding nut. Many damaged threads had to be corrected.

Worthless Pile of Rust / Scrap Metal

We purchased this when we moved into our current home in December of 2018. We live in the arid dry desert of west Texas but, like a lot of people, we have a sprinkler system in our yard. This playground started to rust within days of it being assembled, and now it is so corroded it is unsafe to play on. Weld seams have rusted through and broke off of the frame, screws have pulled out of rusted steel, the mounting holes for the ladder have disintegrated. The coating system on the metal is too thin, and all the contact from dissimilar metals has caused massive galvanic corrosion issues. Lifetime apparently means you get 2 years out of it if it ever gets wet. I would hate to see one that is used in a humid area where it rains.

Great playset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great playset that we will likely enjoy for a long time. The installation process was long and tedious. I recommend watching the videos even if the written directions seem straightforward. We found that there is information in the videos that is not in the written directions. (such as where the swing bar is located in relation to the other parts while building the tower). There were also 2-3 places where the written directions had mistakes and called for the wrong hardware and caused some frustration, but we were able to figure it out with some logic and the help of the video. My only dislike of this playset is the ladder. The arch and distance between rungs is not safe for younger children. The top of the ladder is especially hazardous as the child is stepping from the ladder to the tower. The gap between the top rung of the ladder and the tower is very large. A child could easily fall right through it if they slipped or misjudged the distance. I realize every activity has inherent risk, but they could easily make the rungs closer together, re-engineer the ladder to be steps, or a variety of other safer options. I'd love to see Lifetime offer an aftermarket addition to the ladder to improve the safety. In general, this ladder is not up to par on quality compared to typical Lifetime products.

A park in our backyard!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know who was more excited about the Adventure Tower Deluxe Playset? Me or my 6 year old? It is the center of activity and adventure. Kids come over and say "Wow! You have a park in your yard?" It provides activity, imagination, and friendship. I absolutely love this set. High quality, sturdy and safe. I highly recommend the professional install. Two hours and ....BAM! It's done.

PLEASE READ before buying

My grandmother gave us this playground as a wedding gift 4.5 years ago. The rust on the tower is outrageous. I have been in contact with a customer service rep at lifetime for the past couple of months. They will not honor the warranty because I cannot produce the receipt. My grandmother passed 2 years ago so I can't ask her for it! I explained this many of times to them but they're unwilling to help except for giving me a discount on the faulty parts(which will be almost as much the playground with shipping to Hawaii). They even said to discontinue use of the play set as it is not safe anymore. The monkey bars and swings are fine. The tower however looks like it is 10 years older than the rest of the play ground. To be fair I do live in a humid environment. Still doesn't explain why half the playground is rusting and falling apart at an exponentially faster rate than the rest. My kids are so bummed that they can't play on the tower in fear of getting cut by the rusty metal or the whole thing collapsing from not being structurally sound. Especially right now during this "stay at home" period. I normally don't leave negative reviews but I don't want anyone else to have to suffer through this like we did. I have a 2 lifetime plastic folding tables that work great...not too sure what happened with the playground.

After 3 years it's rusted through

We bought the set in December of 2016 and 2 years later parts of the tower were completely rusted through. I contacted costumer service and was told that rust was not covered in the warranty and I could purchase replacement parts. Now, things are worse and a piece under the tower has fallen off and I am concerned about the safety. I would have expected a play set at this price point would not start deteriorating so quickly.

Rusting Hazard

We purchased this play set and carefully followed the assembly instructions. We did add a rust preventative as it was suggested to enhance durability of the product. We live in Arizona and even though there isn't much rain, for the time it took to assemble and for safety concerns, we wanted to do our due diligence to ensure it lasted long enough until our youngest (age 7) outgrew it. Unfortunately, it has rust everywhere. We are going to have to scrap the entire thing due to safety concerns; which is really disappointing as our kids thought it was really neat before it became a hazard.

The steel used to build our playsets are made with a weather resistant powder-coated finish that protects from cracking, warping, rot or splinters. It is made to be rust-resistant. However, we recommend using a rust treatment for extra protection a couple times a year, especially if you live in a high humidity climate. We do have replacement parts and touch up paint available through our customer service department. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com.

Absolutely love this Playset!!

I bought this playset for my two grand-children. I researched online for days and decided on this playset! It is very sturdy, provides many activities, and my grand-children love it! The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. My son and my two son-in-laws put it together in 5 hours. One was in charge of reading instructions while the other two constructed it. They used power tools which made it go a lot faster. The only problem they had was with the floor of the tower. My son had to drill out the holes a little and it was quite difficult to get the bolts through to hold the floor down. Other than that, pretty much smooth sailing! Recommended over a wooden play set which I previously owned before moving. Much sturdier!!!
