I got this for the remote. I'm happy I got the remote, however I use this in my bedroom and am using the remote in the dark...the remote is the thickness of a slice of cheese and as smooth! In the dark you don't even know if you are touching the front or back/top or bottom. The buttons aren't raised! I mean that's great if you are eating Cheetos and touching it, but when in bed all snuggly it is hard to use. So I cut dots of sticky backed foam and made buttons for the power, temp up and down, and fan up and down. Best feature is the lighted display can be turned off! The face of the display is smooth like the remote and hard to read in the dark so I leave it off and use my remote. The biggest inconvenience is when I shut it off, it always turns back on to the same setting I last used PLUS adds 'eco' onto it. I use this for sleep... I can't have it turning on and off all night! The compressor kicking in and out is bad enough if I'm not in a deep sleep, I can't have the whole thing going quiet on me! All in all I'm satisfied!

Good for the price, but doesn’t cool enough, I put it in my bedroom, and it is a small bedroom. To be able to cool enough I need to lower it to the lowest which is 62 degrees but it is not super cold at all it’s just normal. Not hot but not cold either. Next time I will be trying a different brand.

Did my research and this was supposed to be an excellent unit; it was priced right and a good deal. However, I bought 2 units and both are quite noisy. I have some several older units (8 years) that make less noise . Not just me; my wife agrees they are noisy. They cool well and were easy to install. Would not have bought them had I heard them constantly 'rumble' through through the night.

Not made well. This is my second unit. First was defected in the case. This one makes noise as fan rattles. Member of Consumer Reports it directed me ,( my needs) to Sam's Club. so joined Sam's club to purchase. What a disappointment to find out my membership was only for the day. In retrospect, I should have paid the shipping charge.

Does and excellent job of cooling a 23'x15' room with a stairway.

Nice and quiet, lots of features, appears to be well made.

This unit is nice looking, quiet and has good functionality. The display is very nice and the remote works very well.

Window AC is okay for smaller rooms anything bigger than a smaller rooms still works okay just that the unit runs consistently to keep room cool. When this unit dies in 20 years I will get a larger unit.
