Great concept with poor execution. Bought the device for a Christmas gift, and was hoping to set it up quickly before we had to leave. so first be prepared for 10 hour charging . Next, if you only have 5GHz wifi, it will not work. Finally, the item was defective, and would get back to me within 48 hours for a replacement process, time that we did not have.

I ordered this for a holiday gift for my mother in law. She has been so excited about getting a bird feeder! This one has a really great quality camera and the solar panel works perfectly. I've loved mine so much I can't wait to gift this one to her. It's amazing how many birds you will find that visit you. Ive compared a lot of different bird cameras since I've had mine, but this is by far my favorite. Definitely winning holiday this year!

I am impressed by the heavy duty metal frame to which the feeder is attached. Mounting with the metal frame gives me confidence in the feeders durability. The plastic feeder also seems heavy duty as it's thicker plastic that does not seem like it will deteriorate easy. This feeder promises to last a long time. Likewise, the camera is heavy duty and durable, it's not a low quality camera that will lose functionality over a few seasons. The dual camera capability is very cool! To capture the full perch and bird activity along with tracking the close up detail of a bird present is very cool and pleasant to see! The seed hopper or holder is a little small, I'll likely be refilling with seed often. The solar panel has been working well and is super thin and light so finding a place to mount it was easy. I wish the perch had included a humming bird feeder attachment as well as the standard perch. The included bird identification AI with the feeders sold at Sam's Club is an incredible bonus!!! This is our second Birdfy camera. We have the Birdfy Bamboo Feeder camera and have loved it. It has far exceeded our expectations. I purchased our first camera as a gift for my family member and they have enjoyed seeing the birds it captures everyday. It's an unexpected plus to monitor activity in the area as well. This review includes a picture taken with the older model camera! The new dual camera system is even more impressive!

The Birdfy 2 Pro is my favorite camera bird feeder! It's really fun to use and setup was easy. I am really impressed with the image quality. It's well made and seems very durable. The app identifies birds, and I love sharing my pictures and videos. This would make a great gift for any bird lover!

I'm sure if my wifi wasn't a dedicated 5GHz it would work fine. In setting it up, you have to supress the 5 GHz to access the 2.4 GHz. That allowed me to continue the set up. I get to the final stage of setting it up which is scanning the large QR code snd says that I'm done, but the app doesn't progress forward. If i go to the Dashboard, it says that I'm not set up and then it complains about my wifi again. Tried working with CS and they basically tell me to do what I've already been doing. Giving up and returning. Opinion, camera needs to work with 5GHz.

Received this as a mothers day gift and was excited to set it up. The item was very well packaged with plenty of padding. Ours had damage to the front plastic piece. Marks of discoloration looking like the plastic was mishandled before being attached. The damage caused a gap which would allow birdseed to escape. No way this happened in transit--it had to have been packaged this way. Second red flag is all of the glowing reviews. The company must be blocking negative reviews. Do your research, and find the multitude of problems and complaints. Make sure you charge the camera completely and get it connected before you fill with seed or hang the feeder. Connecting with the app never happened. We have the appropriate wifi connection. We are well versed in how these things work and have set up other bluetooth cameras, so not user error.Nothing but a blaring alarm as we tried to get

It ONLY connects to 2.4 Wi-Fi. That information is not written on the box or in the online write up. It is very disappointing.

I like this feeder — the camera is clear, easy to use, and it has already captured a couple of bird photos. It's fun to check the videos, and the AI alerts work well. Overall, a cute and reliable feeder that makes bird-watching super easy.
