The experience is more futuristic in a good way, controls feel nice, and the graphics make it more realistic. Easier to go from game to game or app to app, and for that reason the system is just awesome PERIOD! Delivery date was scheduled for January 8, 2020 but I received my delivery December 26, 2020. At first I was a little frustrated with the ordering process but with a lot of patience I was able to order my console after numerous attempts.

My first PS console since the PS1 ! Very excited ! As a big Nintendo fan here for the last 6 years there were some games I wanted to play on the Playstation which motivated me to get back into Sony's highly touted console and what no better than the new next-gen one. Still love my Nintendo but excited to check out some of these other games I've been missing the last few years and what the future holds with it. So far the OS is great, smooth, and seamless. Do check out the included game - Astros Playroom - as that one is real delight and showcases the controller's capabilities, which I would say is a step up from the Nintendo pro controller. Even an older game like Battlefront 2 looks so good and so real on this thing I am blown away by the detail and smoothness of it. Thanks Wal-Mart for coming thru on this one ! Happy gaming y'all !

finally got it after a couple months of trying, wish it didn't arrived damaged though, there was a small dent in one of the side panels. I plan on replacing the side panel, but otherwise I am very happy with the purchase and can't wait to play on it!

Been a lifelong Playstation gamer. Also a lifetime Xbox Gamer. Yes I'm both! BUT, this PS5 is hands down my favorite of all of them. Was able to secure it during the 12/17 drop and even though sat in the Cart for 2 weeks as 'Pending Order', it shipped second week of January and had it in 3 days. Can't complain and lovin' every minute of it.

For all those saying it isn't possible to get one from Walmart, it is possible, difficult but possible. I got mine at the 9pm time slot on launch day, November 12th. Waited to write my review for a bit because everyone was talking about all the defective ones so I wanted to make sure mine was fine. Mine works perfect. It was packaged well, no damages or dings and it came a full week early than delivery time. Graphics are sick with my 4k TV and Black Ops Cold War looks awesome. The system is very quiet except for when you have a disc in when the game starts up, then it is silent. No overheating, freezing or errors. Overall the system is great, looks good, runs good and a big upgrade from PS4. So glad I got one when it released. Definetly what I expected and the true definition of next gen gaming.

I always buy every console at launch -- it's what I enjoy doing. The PS5 is by far the best new console experience I've ever had and is the clear place to enjoy the next generation of games. I know demand is outstripping supply by a LOT right now, but I look forward to more people being able to get their hands on theirs.

I love everything about it, but the interface. It shouldn't take multiple steps to close out a game. Also, you can't use wallpapers or customize your main page now. I assume that's coming later. Best thing about the PS5 is the haptic controller, but there aren't many opportunities to take advantage of that yet.

The console itself is amazing and I've really enjoyed everything I've played, but the purchasing experience was terrible. All of my friends who are trying to get one have constantly had trouble securing one, with Walmart's website crashing and not even allowing a minute for them to get one. I got lucky, but it's not as easy for everyone else.

The console runs phenomenally, incredibly quiet and the free game that it comes with is actually fun. On the topic of delivery, I have seen many complaints, I placed my order on a Thursday and got my console on Saturday morning with everything in perfect condition. I highly recommend buying from Walmart with my experience.

The dual sense controller is amazing. Hopefully, third party developers will implement its features to their games. The menu system is more organized than the ps4 menu. The new games load extremely fast and ps4 games load faster and some will now run in 4K. If you have the psvr, make sure you save a ps4 controller because the vr needs the light bar on the old controller. Otherwise, the ps5 controller works on the ps4 games. Also the psvr will lower the resolution to 1080p so you will have to disconnect the hdmi wires from the psvr to get 4K again.
