Loving this console. Amazing and fluid. only problem I have is the stand. seems like an after thought but is a painful engineering flaw to me. totally disrupts the flow and look of the console. it's especially awkward when you first try to install it. not a big deal it's just surprising. Can't wait to see the slim model.

Thank you walmart for shipping my PS5!!!! I love everything about it. Sony did amazing job with this one. It was delivered to me two weeks early. And also thank you walmart for the upgrade form digital to the disc version. Been trying for seven months to land a PS5!! Not only did I get one! Walmart upgraded me to the disc version for no extra cost WHOOOO!!!!!

okay, so i was kinda scared ordering this since it's over 1k, but i got it and now i love playing with it !! i'm not some dumb bot, i'm an actual person, and this is an actual PS5. if you're trying to find reviews to determine if you should buy this, you should.

Walmart had a 9:00pm stock of PS5's on November 25th, and after 15 minutes of trying to add to cart, I was finally able to order it. To my surprise it was for "Pickup Only" at checkout, and had to wait until December 2nd to pick it up at my local Walmart. Of course well worth the wait! I think Walmart should be doing the Pickup Only method from now on to stop scalpers from buying them up, and everyone will have a fair shot to get one. Appreciate you guys doing it right!

Great console waited forever to purchase best chance to get one is via the Walmart app , have payment saved to better chances . And when it gets confirmed it will usually say a month from date of purchase but comes literally in a few days . Wont be disappointed

The PlayStation 5 is truly a next-gen console. I have been a PS4 Pro user myself and we all know how difficult it was to secure a PS5 in 2020. I was fortunate enough to get one from Walmart of all places. My experience was truly wonderful. The Console is a tad bigger than the other consoles of this generation but, it performs well for its size and there is virtually no fan noise. The console constantly outputs most AAA games at 4K/60 FPS as apposed to 4K / 30 FPS on the PS4 Pro. Don't forget to upgrade your game to the PS5 version before playing (I did not do this and was playing the PS4 version of the game, LOL). The next-gen aspect of the console was indeed the DualSense controller. The best way to describe the haptics is to compare it to a fully stretched rubber band that has been strung. The vibration that you feel in the hand is so satisfying and the adaptive triggers is an added bonus to an already fantastic controller. I know many people were hating on the PS5 design but, I have to say the design did grow on me. I have my console in the tower position(vertical). So far the best game to get a feel for next-gen is Spider-Man: Miles Morales with the Performance RT option. Imagine swinging through the buildings of New York in true 4K with tiny snow particles in the air with 60 FPS smoothness and Ray Traced reflections on the glass buildings. I am super excited for what Sony has in store for it's upcoming First Party games.

I don't think it needs pointing out that Walmart was not the ideal place for a drop like this. Their website crashed four times in a row last Friday due to the large influx of both genuine customers excited for the next generation of consoles and opportunistic scalpers abusing the online-only release of the system due to the pandemic. I was fortunate enough to somehow stumble through the clunky and slow checkout screen at 9 PM and secure a PS5, but you can tell from the negative reviews and recent Twitter trends that not a lot of people can say the same. It's unfortunate that people take advantage of online releases like this and turn regular console releases into Supreme x North Face drops. As for the console itself, it's great. If you can manage to secure one, then great. If you want to learn more about the console, watch MKBHD's review or something. Although they're rightfully angry, the reviews on this site don't really reflect how people feel about the console, but more the release. I think this terrible online release is a byproduct of the pandemic and the console shouldn't be judged for the era it was released in.

Bought this for my husband and we got it within a week of ordering. He has only used it one day and when he went to put a disc in to play the disc drive sounded like it was a weedwacker/trimmer that you use outside to work on lawns. It was so loud. My husband and I tried multiple disc and it made that noise every time. After about 10 minutes or so it would stop but after some time it would start back up again. He had a disc in while he downloaded content for it and was playing a digital game and after about an hour playing the digital game the consoles drive started getting really loud again. We didn't figured it was cause the disc was still in there downloading content, but all of a sudden the disc came flinging out of the console. I'm very mad about the fact that I'm paying over a $1,000 to Walmart for a console that was supposed to be brand new and it doesn't even work right before we even get to use it. Now I'm probably going to have to call Sony and see if they will either fix it or replace it. There's no point in having a disc version of a console when the console won't even keep your games in it, and 90% of your games are on disc. Very disappointed and honestly don't know how I feel about ever buying another console or video game system from Walmart again.

The PS5 will be an awesome console. I was able to play a few hours of fortnite and about an hour of Spider Man Miles Morales before my console rebooted and got the rebuilding database message for the first time. It has since rebooted 6 more times. I have not been able to play Cold War and have since uninstalled Cold War and Miles Morales. I haven't had any issues since. I of course did not spend $500 to play just fortnite. I know Sony is probably working on a patch right now, but it's still disappointing. If you have secured a console yet I wouldn't stress too much, the software is not stable at least for PS5 games in my theory.

Just recieved today. Purchased from "Nationwide Distributor" on through Walmart.com. The playstation box was clearly opened from the bottom and the unit removed from its sealed box. The seal itself was intact but altered. Why even open the box and remove the system?
