I received the item pretty late after the date walmart promised. I had an issue with fed ex because I watched the fed ex man throw my parcel onto the porch. I've reported it to both companies and am waiting on a reply. for the merchandise: the PS5 is very high quality. the controller has increased in size and weight from the ps4. Good changes for sure! the console is HUGE! make room for it. it is super tall and wide. games load quick. all programs open and close smoothly. the feedback on the controller is amazing. I have nothing negative to report. hang in there and keep trying to score one. it is worth it. I was not willing to pay scalper prices so I spent many hours online and followed restock using the hotstock app, restock alerts on Twitter and email.

Since my old PS4 was broken since day one, I desperately need this. Delivery was smooth. The only issue I have with it was the package: two seals had been opened. The package itself wasn't open but that's the only gripe I have with it. Overall, I would totally recommend this!

Prior to Walmart switching to online only for PS5 consoles, I drove an hour away from my local Walmart and residence to a Walmart in a smaller town. I called that Walmart on Dec 19th., and an Electronics associate gave me a tip that more than 12 PS5 consoles were arriving later that day and will be available for sale. I arrived 2 hours before the truck arrived with the PS5 consoles and there was already a line of 14 people waiting in the electronic's department. After a total of 5 hours of waiting, the mgr announced there were 12 consoles unloading! I was so close and it was my last chance to get one before Christmas for my kids! I left that store very disappointed but one of the customers standing in line mentioned a third party AP that sends alerts for the top 7 retailers that were restocking PS5 consoles with daily and up to minute updates and notifications. I downloaded the app., HotStock! It was free to sign up and it sends a free alert every time a retailer posts the PS5 consoles! Three days passed, after the major letdown, and it was about 2:30pm in the afternoon and I received an alert from HotStock that Walmart online had PS5 availability online. I rushed to the site and with 3 clicks and I was able to place a PS5 in my online cart, enter my credit card info, and complete the purchase! The ETA had it scheduled to arrive to my residence by January 9th., but I was excited that we were getting one, even after Christmas. Each day, I checked for updates online and just before Christmas, the date changed to December 28th. The PS5 shipped earlier than expected and was transported to my doorstep on the morning of December 27th. We are very lucky that we got one but more importantly, we never gave up and I refused to negotiate with scalpers. I'd rather not have a PS5 than to pay a scumbag over list price! My kids love it! I can say it is worth the hype! The gaming catalog is a bit limited but it's the Heisman Trophy of gaming consoles! It stands vertical, next to our 65”TV and sound bar. I had Geek Squad connect it via an Ethernet cable to my protected network. I upgraded my modem, enhanced my security online, and added video surveillance to my property. The surveillance video was for many reasons; not just bc I owned a PS5, lol. If you haven't purchased a PS5 yet and still are pursuing one, don't give up! Use third party sites for alert notifications, when retailers restock! They will restock! And, DO NOT pay a penny to those scalpers! Be persistent and I'm sure you'll land one, as I did! I'm grateful to Walmart for shipping my console so quickly! Good Luck!

For all those saying it isn't possible to get one from Walmart, it is possible, difficult but possible. I got mine at the 9pm time slot on launch day, November 12th. Waited to write my review for a bit because everyone was talking about all the defective ones so I wanted to make sure mine was fine. Mine works perfect. It was packaged well, no damages or dings and it came a full week early than delivery time. Graphics are sick with my 4k TV and Black Ops Cold War looks awesome. The system is very quiet except for when you have a disc in when the game starts up, then it is silent. No overheating, freezing or errors. Overall the system is great, looks good, runs good and a big upgrade from PS4. So glad I got one when it released. Definetly what I expected and the true definition of next gen gaming.

Where do I even start. I've only had this for 2 days and already MUCH better than the ps4. The controller is truly feels next gen. The new layout system is very cool! Although getting to your friends or profile can be confusing at first it still delivers. 4K runs smoothly. The only complaint I have is that it froze twice while playing spider man. Walmart fully delivered as the package was clean with no dents. The reason why I'd chose PlayStation over the new Xbox Series x is just because it doesn't feel as next gen to me. The controller feels the same just a new grip, the layout is similar but if it's not broke don't fix it I guess. I still love the Xbox series x the graphics are really cool! I can't wait to see what Sony does next.

I have owned every Playstation system throughout my life. Sony did a great job with 5! To me the UI, Graphics, speed, and games are all important. The UI is fresh and stunning. However, there is no web browser which is important to me as having that enables me to almost cut out the use of my PC for any of my entertainment needs. Browser NEEDS to be brought back. I was also hoping for more personalization in the UI. Unless I am missing it I see no where to create my own custom backgrounds (screens hots for my games like I could with the PS4)or the ability to add whatever apps I want for easy access on my homescreen. The graphics definitely look good and are an improvement. I have been used to such large leaps in graphics and am a little bummed to not see it again, but right now I think that graphics are at a momentary peak as it is. The UI is a bit confusing to get around but I think that will get better with use. The speed is incredible. no more waiting and fear of freezing or crashes just because you want to go to the dashboard to adjust a setting or accept an invite. this was a much needed change! The exclusive games PS has are, in my opinion, superior to other consoles and I hope they keep them coming! I have had my system for a few days and have put in about 30 hrs of gameplay. It has gone into rest mode with game running in background and have had no issues yet. Overall Sony did a great job and hope they have some updates to help make it even better!

Getting the Play-station 5 was no easy task. Once I got my order placed and got a tracking number it came faster than the estimated date. The Ps5 is well worth its $500 price tag, I would not pay over what it's original price is in stores. I would highly suggest buying the charging station with the console, as the cord that comes in box is short. I've had a Great Time using the systems interface and playing games like Demon's Souls or Spiderman Remastered. The games run smooth and load fast ! I would suggest buying this system to anyone !

I bought this on the 3/18 Walmart drop at 3:40pm cdt, delivery date was set to April 9th which kinda bummed me out, but not even 2 days later it updates to 3-25, then the next day it changes to 3-23 which made my year! The console itself is also amazing, god of war and ghost of Tsushima on 60fps is life changing. Not noisy at all on those games unlike my previous ps4 slim, very great product and such a worth it buy!

Really liked that my ps5 came in quite fast, like in less than a week! Though if you're wondering if the console is good, I would say it's pretty good for now. The dual sense features are really amazing and interesting. Can't wait till future games develop creative ways of using the dual sense features and incorporate that into gameplay. Though as of now, there are hardly any notable “must buy” games for the ps5, but hopefully in the near future this console will truly shine. Overall it's a pretty great console and definitely an upgrade from the ps4. Personally( in my opinion), the dualsense controller really makes/greatly contributes to feeling of a next gen console such as the ps5.

Some bugs like minor crashes or downloading issues but it's as good as you'd imagine. It's not insanely revolutionary or as absolutely essential but worth getting if you can manage to snag one. Imagine a PS4 Pro Pro Pro Pro with updated UI. Super fast loading when launching and downloading games and buttery smooth 60fps with great resolution. Genuinely no complaints but it's essentially a better means of playing the same thing. Regardless, snag one if you can, it's worth it imo
