Just as advertised. Great system but theres a new learning curve to get used to where everything is now is required. Be prepared to do a lot of updating and downloading at first though. Some games have a wow factor but itll be awhile before you can say youll truly be impressed.

I live in rural Central Michigan and I was able to get one for black friday, it was a battle though, a lot of page refreshing, I managed to cart it around 9:15pm E.T. So actual review time, really cool system, a lot of users have PSplus so the library of games (20 ps4 games) included with that on ps5 is cool. Controller is pretty cool I will like to see how developers use the trigger resistance. 4k gaming is something else! The system is bigger than the original PS3, so prepare some self space. I think a lot of these negative reviews are just attempts to dissuade you from trying to get a system.

very happy with my purchase, graphics and loading time are amazing. Astros playroom really shows off how great the new dualsense controller is. That being said I still made sure to get a protection plan, I've heard from other buyers, and that their controller having drift or adaptive trigger issues. System came early too, 11 days after purchase!

What's not to love about the hardware? Definitely a step up from the PS4 pro in performance. The controller feels much more comfortable in my opinion, and the adaptive triggers are super immersive and fun. I wish my Sony TV did 120fps, though most games don't even have 120fps modes. At least my TV does 60fps 4K HDR. I plugged my external SSD from my PS4 into the PS5 and I could play those games right away. Maybe at some point I will need to add a internal SSD expansion, but for now the external is fine. I did order some DarkPlates (gen1) and a Damascus skin and put them on right away. And soon I'll be mounting this in a better location. All that said, the ps4 pro is still a really great console, especially when paired with an external SSD, or if your TV / monitor can't even handle like mine or worse. Overall I'm happy as it's sure to support my gaming needs for years to come.

I actually scored a PS5 on November 15th. Walmart stated that it would arrive on January 12th. I then received an update that it would arrive on December 26th. I was so excited. Then out of the blue I was notified through FedEx that it would arrive on the 19th. Today I got it and I am so happy. Thanks Wal-Mart.

I got lucky with the walmart drop on the 25th of nov, anyway it truly is next generation coming even from a ps4 pro. Everything is so smooth and fluid and the menu loads way faster. It runs a lot of my old ps4 games the same if not better depending on the game. The controller is honestly a huge change and was surprised how crazy it felt in my hands like in the Astro's Playroom which a free game included. If you are coming from like a og ps4, xbox one, or something older you'll for sure see a difference especially on a 4k. I highly recommend if you're on the fence, can afford it, or even GET one right now.

Was lucky to get one and I will tell you The system is beautiful and performs flawless! Every Ps4 game is able to be played with no issues! Plays and loads quick! To every negative review posted, They are Playstation haters and will never give credit to Sony since they play on the other platforms. The system is big, close to a mid size gaming PC, but it just shows the power potential this thing has. My one recomendation would be an external HD, I went with The WD Black 8TB 7200rpm external HD, The stock drive will fill quickly especially with updates and HD Games, Example COD cold War almost is 400Gb!!

Awesome console!! My kids love the PS5, what kid wouldn't, but my husband and I love it just as much! We are now a family of gamers and have found a great way to spend some family time with our kids. Graphics are amazing!! The console is a bit bulky and I wish I laid on its side easier, but no complaints! I'd buy another if they weren't so hard to come by still!

Have gotten 3 systems for self and family between the two releases at Walmart. Extremely pleased with this system. Kids love it too. Only issues have been with Cold War, which I blame on that stupid game - have the same issues with it on ps4. All other games have downloaded and played flawlessly. Graphics are definitely better than our ps4 pro when connecting to 4k tv.

Walmart delivered on this Playstation 5 shipping by having it 5 days early from the initial scheduled arrival time. Set up the Playstation 5 at ease while updates were being installed shortly thereafter. This Playstation 5 game console is backward compatible with PS 4 games. I don't see any loading times on this PS 5 game console. Excellent, Awesome, and Greatness Awaits.
