It can handle larger loads of laundry - which makes washing blankets much more convenient - and it also has an energy saving option as well as AI sensing. It was easy to setup and install, too, so all around a great addition to our laundry days!

Saves time and energy for drying clothes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new LG ThinQ dryer. Set up was a breeze for my husband and he was even able to easily reverse the door so it opened to the left verses the right how it came. Very quiet when running. The drum is huge and can hold a very large extra load, even my big oversized comforter. Also drying a regular load takes about 40 min which is much shorter than my old dryer that would take 60 minutes or more to dry a regular load. The AI sensor drying automatically adjusts heat and time. Love that it’s an energy saver. Still learning all the features of the ThinQ AI but you can control the dryer all from your smartphone, which is cool.

Perfect replacement for our dinosaur dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank goodness! We have been using the same dryer for over a decade, which has been rapidly declining. The LG DOE8200W has been a blessing so far. The LG ThinQ app allows for extra smart features that you can control from your phone. You can control the dryer cycle, energy monitoring, remote control, push messages, smart diagnosis, and settings. Other functions, for those with little kids and those that like editing the end cycle tones, is having a control lock and the ability to change the song that's played after the cycle has ended.

Bees knees!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Let me preface by saying - our old dryer took 3 hours to dry a load of laundry, it was terrible. This dryer looks like it's from the future, and dries clothes quick! It is extremely quiet so I no longer have to worry about what time I finally decide to dry the laundry in fear of waking my kids up. It was easy to set up and came with everything needed. Only thing I will say - we needed to switch the door swing on it and the instructions were nowhere to be found in the book! The instructions are on their website, with a video, which worked great and got it down quickly. This dryer also hooks up to WiFi and allows you to download personal options for dryer settings and start the dryer, pretty neat! Only issue is you can't have it connected through WiFi and also use the dryer as normal, tou have to disconnect the WiFi. The capacity on this dryer is HUGE we went from a 5.9qft to a 7.1qft, so definitely doing a better job and making my life easier! This dryer is the bees knees and I would recommend it to anyone!

Pretty happy with this dryer. Works well, efficient, quiet. My only two complaints - I wish I could set a timed dry shorter than 20 minutes, and the design of the lint trap is awkward.

Filter will not last
Dryer performs excellent in normal mode. Energy Saver mode is not very effective. Clothes are still damp after two cycles. The sore spot is the filter. The design is highly effective with very little lint collecting in the vent pipe. Problem is hinge design. The filter has to be opened to clean it. The plastic is not a flexible enough material. Repetitive use leads to fatigue failure. Mine failed after a few months. It was replaced under warranty, but it is almost certain this will happen again. A redesign will make this dryer a 5 star appliance

I have only had this a week. I have had clothes catch at the bottom of the drum 4 times. I am very upset and worried about how it will perform in later years.
